Good day everybody!

My name is Gabriel and I'm the Founder & CEO of Nascent Games, a start-up Indie Studio based out of Sacramento, CA!

The 1st game to truly inspire me to want to make games was OutRun from Sega, in which I was around 10 years old when I first played it. It was the 1st (driving) game that forced you to keep going. No laps. No circuit races. Just...forward. Seeing those multiple paths leading to new cities & landmarks truly blew me away. It made me want to do more & create stories behind those visuals!

So, I started drawing up really crappy looking city landscapes & gameplay elements. Little did I know then, I was creating a Game Dev Document. Sadly, at that time, there were no schools of any kind nor any support from family which would've helped me expand on my drive (pun) more. Needless to say, that caused me to pause (another gamer pun) that dream and just "get by" on paying bills and working.

That has all changed. And it's about time...

As I continue to work my regular day job (yay, sarcastically), I am working on a few games in the hopes it will create a substantial & empowering transition into becoming a part or full-time for my studio!

The 1st game in the Nascent Games portfolio: Crumple - Episode 1

Crumple is about Enve (short for "envelope"): An envelope brought to life inside a massive factory complex which is burning to the ground. As you guide Enve through this complex, you & Enve will quickly discover how Enve ended up in this factory to begin with, why the complex is burning & more...

Crumple is an episodic, 2D puzzle-platformer created in Flash (I know, right?!). Each episode will cost $2 and there will be a total of around 3 or 4 episodes. Episode 1 will be releasing later this week!
