Somehow, both of these animatronics are the same. I just don't see it. But, at the time, I doubt Scott had any idea he was going to make a fourth game. I mean, he didn't even plan on making a second game until last September. (I think)

i think it was just changed while in development. i personally think the teaser springtrap looked cooler though.
