Saves in battles in any EAW mod are very unstable, it is advised to not save in battle

I'm glad you are enjoying the mod,
1) The mod takes place after the battle of Yavin, so the cast of the rebels TV show is not likely to be added, plus we have other heroes we would like to focus on.
2) Obi-wan is not a hero as he has "died" by this time. There are a lot of heroes in the mod, to many to list in this comment.

would have made it a tank destroyer, but it would have made some other units useless

our ground combat design is bassed off WWII a bit too

We want difficulty to scale like this
- Normal: for people new to the mod/EaW
- Hard: for veteran EaW players
- Expert: for veteran AotR players

AotR is steam exclusive because petro hasn't patched the other versions of the game, AotR needs that patch to run properly. Most mods are becoming steam exclusive for the same reason.

1) You can only have 1 Independence cruiser active at a time, that may change in the future

2) The Empire has more heroes than the rebels, we do want to add more minor heroes for all factions later down the line
