Glad to hear it. Believe me, financial issues have been plaguing me too...
Its more of the droid bombers, they can do two attacks in one run while the republic bombers can only do one attack in one run which means double the damage to the republic which is a major put down when going into battle. The republic just needs a carrier like the republic, the Valiant is the answer to the problem at hand. It could carry nearly 800 fighters which isnt as much as the lucrehulk but is still a huge amount and its a very powerfull warship in itself with its weaponary. That would be my suggestion, not prevention but equaling.
I'm not sure I know which transport you are referring to, could you give me a link to wookieepedia maybe? A more robust transport ship for the GAR is not out of the question, it's just that we need to find a suitable ship. Remember, it takes a while to model, skin, rig, and test each ship, so it is not likely that a transport of this sort will make it into the mod any time soon. Nevertheless, I will suggest it. Thanks for the input.
The Valiant class star destroyer, again its not a canonical unit but serves as a huge carrier for the republic and could bolster fighter numbers in a space battles. It had been moddeled before and used as a light cruiser so you would just have to increase the size and possible make the texture better and you have a Republic carrier which can carry tons of fighters into battle.
Hmm...again with the canon...unit appearences (like Jango) are fine, but non-canonical units all together? That's a tall order. I'll suggest a Republic carrier in general if one isn't already planned (One might be, I forget though) Thanks for the input and suggestions
It would even out the field a lot if both factions had a fighter spamming unit and even in the movies like episode III, we dont really see the venators caring about the fighters which are flying around.
True, but the Republic will never truly be able to match the Lukrehulk, it's just not possible. Again though, I will suggest/look for a Republic carrier.
Hell according to canon the venator wouldnt be able to break the Lucrehulks hull and that would make the space battles scary and there are ways it just means giving the republic ships which are not effected by bombers/fighters.
