This idea hasn't really been mentioned yet, the team have just stuck with the original idea so far. However, it'd be really interesting to see all of these mechanics coming into play, maybe more precious weapons spawn in areas which are harder to get to etc. I'd like to see this in the game, however, it's not a promise.

Yep, the team have been discussing randomised weapon and food spawns for the survival PVP gamemode.

Hey Manstor, the mod is not dead and is actually far from it ; we will hopefully have a couple of new programmers joining us so that we can push the gameplay elements of the mod forward ! Keep an eye out for more news soon. Thanks ! :'D
