Here's a solution that I've tried and works. As soon as the game starts, pause the game, then disable the auto cast on the dreadnaught yard. Then you can choose to summon a dreadnaught at your leisure. You have to be really fast on that pause button though.

Seriously though I don't know why you would want to do that. You will be at a real disadvantage without a dreadnaught at first. No capital ship can go up against a dreadnaught and survive. Plus the ai pays to get it's dreadnaught up to level 2 first thing.

I just created a map using the galaxy forge from maelstrom version R13 and it worked just fine. I guess there is a problem using the galaxy forge from version R16.

Hi. I am running into a problem where every map I create in the maelstrom galaxy forge is unplayable because it shows a max player count of zero. It does this if I create a new map or edit an existing one in the maelstrom galaxy forge. I am not having this problem with the vanilla galaxy forge.

Am I missing something? or is there something else I need to do when using the maelstrom galaxy forge? I am using the latest version of maelstrom (R16).

Why is this such a problem? This mod creator seems to be working with the skills that he has. I'm glad to see the ambition.

I have dreams of making mods for this game. But I have little knowledge of the workings of the game. I can't model, I can't write code, or any of these things.

If I was to seriously try and make my own mod I know I would have to use everyone else's models, among other things. So, if I did make a cool functional mod, I bet I'd have to keep it to myself because of uptight people like you.

I am excited for this mod, even if not all the models are made by the creator. I can't wait to see what he will come up with.

The 3.0 7sins was released for rebellion version 1.82 (I beleive). That is before both DLCs. I think that is why your game is crashing if you are running version 1.91. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been an update to this mod yet. I hope they do one soon cause I'd love to play it again! :)

It's low profile work area makes me think it would be for light ships. But I don't know what capitol ships you have planned. (I did see the intelligence ship) Will they all be of a low profile design?

Admittedly, I only played single player, so I don't have much to say about sniping.

But may I bring up somthing to think about? I have watched you play various Sins games on youtube. I mention that to say that i feel we have similar play styles. I watch you give orders and then zoom out to an icon level and watch the icons move and cary out your orders. I feel that watching the ships at this level is still enjoyable and gives me some degree of awareness of what is going on on the rest of my worlds. I imagine that this is probably why you do that too. Do you feel that it will be as fun to watch symbols doing what the ships have been ordered to do?

You mentioned that you guys are not making wiremeshes. Not knowing much about the modding of this game, I am taking that to mean that the wiremeshes are used for the icons of ships. I am really looking into learning to mod though and I will learn about that soon I guess.

Well, I'll keep an open mind about it.

So you have said to let you know what we think about the ship symbols for AOTF. I am sure you guys have been hard at work on them and i appreciate that, but i ask you to PLEASE not use them! I want to see ship icons not symbols. When i select ships to give orders to, I want to be sure of exactly which ships i am selecting. When I select ships to attack i want to be sure of exactly which ships I am attacking. Symbols take that sertanty away and makes the game harder to play and less fun.

When you guys released the TFF beta I eagarly downloaded it and tested it out. I had a lot of thoughts to share with you on the changes, but sadly I didnt share them in time. Cheifly on my mind though was the diamond ship symbols. I would have asked you not to use those there too. Then you released the final version of TFF and I found you kept the diamonds. I cant understand why you guys kept the diamonds when you already have a wealth of icons in older versions of your mod. It makes your mod feel broken to me, and hurts to play. Which is why i am so grateful to bruce for giving us the icon patch. THANKS BRUCE!

I hope that this post isn't offensive, I am not trying to be offensive or rude. I am greatfull for all the hard work that this team is doing and sharing. I am only trying to make my intense feelings clear. Again i ask you, please don't put ship symbols in AOTF! Please give us ship icons!

Hi, Just letting you know about some issues while playing the Wraith.
I am using version 0.92b.

1. Cannot complete research for Mass Cloning Facilities because it requires 2 points in Superior Chain Reactions. This research is no where to be found. Did you mean to have it require 2 points in Superior Warrior Caste instead?

2. Reseach for Armor lines, Reactor lines, and the Titan simply did not work. (meaning I would click the research icon and nothing happened)
They did not work until I reloaded the game for reference in sending this message. Weird right?

That's exciting to hear that you are planning era/lore based instalments! I'm happy to wait for the TOS era to see the Gorn. There is so much to draw from, with resouces like the table top game and the role players. I hope that when you get to the movie era, that you remember the Starfleet Command games too! Oh, and you guys may already know this, but there is a huge wealth of ships to draw from by so many schematic designers! Check out jackill.com for example! Thanks for putting this all together!

I've been viewing the images and am very excited to see tholian, xindi, and suliban ships, as well as vulcan and andorian. I'm curious, what playable factions will there be? Also wondering, (as i am most excited to see the tholians) will we see other TOS races such as the gorn?

I understand. I thought the lack of ship variety might have been a factor. I only echo Aderan's thought by saying you made so many for the Tau'ri it could be done for the Ori too. ;) None the less thanks for all the good stuff you have made! I am very excited for the finished product.
On the subject of random events, you know what would be a cool one!? That crazy scary ship of bionics that they encountered while jumping around through alternate universes!

There are many races and factions which I dream of having available as a playable race in a Star Trek game. Not the least of which includes Species 8472. I Dream of having many other races to play such as the Gorn, all the races from the Starfleet Command games, the Tholians, the Ferangi, and Xindi. Even some wierd one like the Trabe and Kazon, and even the Crystaline Entity, and Species 9431 from the first Armada Game. You guys have added many of them as neutral races like the Talarians, Nausicaans, and Orions. Thats is very exciting to me and I thank you for that.

I just downloaded your mod. I have not used it yet but I am excited to. In your mod description you said:
"To maintain balance the new faction is mechanically identical to the Advent Rebels and only differs in its visuals and weapon sounds. If enough people are interested I may make DkR a more distinct race."
I just want you to know that I am definitely interested in that happening! different visuals are fun but different ways of playing are much more fun. So thanks and I hope to see your mod evolve too.
