The only thing that I can really suggest at this point is a re-installation of FTL. If that still doesn't work, try Slipstream 1.4. If these fail, I'm not sure what else to do.

Are you using any other mods with it, and did you remember to extract Starwars 1.3.ftl from the zip? If not, I recommend reinstalling FTL and then try installing the mod. The mod's events.xml doesn't even have 3456 lines.
