Game review

I'd categorize this as a surreal RPG shooter. You can level up your character by performing tasks and collect items of higher level with randomly jumbled stats. Kind of like Borderlands or any sort of dungeon crawlwer.

Combat can be fun and hectic outdoors but the AI can't handle indoor navigation. Some weapons and items destroy the environment which can lead to entertaining afterbattle scenes or tactical options in battle.

Missions and the storyline feel pretty rough and simple. I gave up after the main storyline pitted me up against a boss that kept insta-killing me before I could get close.

I spent a fair amount of time exploring and getting better and better gear so it does have entertainment value if you like that kind of pointless grind. Whether the price reflects the fun you'll get out of it is hard to say. There are a lot of games with higher polish and complexity for less money. I was a little bummed when I bought it and it was soon announced that little else was to be added in the future. This is just a risk when buying "alpha" games.

So yes, the demo reflects well what the game is and probably will always be. if you like it, buy it.
