Honestly I have no idea, I'm using CoM right now instead of CoC and in CoM there are no artifacts that absorb radiation, they're all radioactive

I like this idea, actually, I always did enjoy the sounds from SoC. I can't use this mod, unfortunately, because I have MISERY on top of CoC right now, but I'll keep it in mind for maybe using it at a later time :)

There's a version of MISERY that does this, too, and it makes sense because in real life you'd have to be careful of checking the background radiation in certain parts of the Zone (*cough* red forest and kopachi *cough*).

Awesome, this is actually one of my favorite parts of recent mods. It makes sense, too, just on the level of the "culture" of the Zone because if it really is such a bleak and lonely place then stalkers would want to chat each other up occasionally if they're out by themselves
