It is just a repackage. Some time ago using the regular zip file required to read installation instructions, now it have been simplified to just extract the files to the game's folder. The installer is meant to do the same thing for you (no registry entries and what not)

Hi, sorry for the quite late reply (I don't receive any emails about those comments and I don't check the website too often). Why you need to change CVars so often to get this error? If I'm not wrong scripts can keep their own memory and they don't rely too much on CVars. CVars are usually used for configuration (either user-based, development-based or internal). Also if you want to edit a gun's position maybe you might want to check the def files (including the classic-pos.def which you can find on the source code's zBFA folder

The first one might be if not difficult near impossible to do, I don't get it, maybe as a mod, done as a mod that you can find here on the addons section, I think that will need copying from Cst so idk I might look into it, I guess I can redo the trick I did for the ROE arcades

One issue with restoring content is that some of it needs to brng back the old assets. Also it comes to question what if someone wants the BFG content instead of the OG content?

Are you sure? The FPS setting must have both the original 60 and 120 plus any refresh rate your monitors can support

On BFG Edition it "should" be the correct one. Check in photo mode (it will either be roe guy the model from the promos or a headless Doom marine)

Hi how BAD is in comparison to 1.2.8? Sadly I only have AMD so I don't really know how it fairs with intel or nvidia. Also the latest version reduces both CPU usage and CPU overhead on rendering. On a Steam Deck it runs on a consistent 60 fps regardless it's graphical settings.

Hi sadly I didn't catch your message in time. A new version is now out but it doesn't have such change. You can always check nightly builds on Github if you don't want to wait too long.
Once I get the chance I will try to see if I can add a feature like that

Hi, sorry for the very late response. The mod os for DOOM 3: BFG Edition and DOOM 3 (2019). Since you have a multi monitor issue I could suggest to check the github nightly builds, they come with various fixes and performance improvement

Well, I already start testing it and as it seems OpenGL 3.3 might be a viable lower version for OpenGL

Your PC doesn't have any dedicated GPU?

Send me only the last 100 lines (or less). Most likely the issue will be visible in those lines. Or send me the log in parts

Hi, sorry for the very late reply. After you extracted it to a folder did you try to load it with the launch argument +set fs_game <foldername>? (Keep in mind that the folder must be in the same folder where the executable (DoomBFA.exe)is)

As for the comparison to RBDoom3BFG, RBDOOM3BFG is still in development and it's main focus is on the graphical quality of DOOM 3 while BFA focuses more on quality of life improvements and ways to restore old modding compatibility on all 3 games

Do you have the steam_appid.txt in the same place where exe is?

You didn't have to rename the .dll files. A quick test to make sure it's loaded is to check your name on DOOM 3 Multiplayer, if the name is your Steam name then is loaded
