Thanks mate for the workaround. I've downloaded and installed the mod several times ... I really can't understand what it could be on some machines.
Thanx mate for the Workaround!
I really don't know what could have happened.
Hola amigo, lamentablemente no. El MOD sigue siendo un producto inacabado. Lo habitual solo con lo hecho hasta ahora...
Unfortunately, my goal with this mod was only to achieve gains with the interface and user experience of the standard Vanilla game.
Any errors need to be reinstalled.
I just read the comment today. I'm grateful. I still use it today in my personal games XD
Unfortunately the MOD changes to English. I can't make another one for other languages.
The installer is improvised so your system recognizes that the sources are unknown. Your computer is right to alarm you, but the MOD does not come with virus.
Unfortunately not, to get these visual improvements that I got I had to choose English.
No, it is a clean MOD, only interfaces and UX improvements
Audio and video files take a little longer to decompress. This is normal because the installer is improvised. Wait about 2 or 3 minutes and the progress bar continues without major crashes.
For now, to get workaround, I suggest that you manually delete the file "ultima_soundmod.pack" inside the data folder. Without this file Napoleon must reload the original vanilla sound.
Hi Phobos, try to delete "ultima_soundmod.pack" inside the data folder of your Napoleon Total War, and the original sound of the game will be returned... I believe that It is a problem related to the Windows OS, specifically, since here on Linux, the pack with sounds is loaded normally. Some recent system update may have disabled the power of the pack to load automatically on games like Napoleon Total War. Anyway thanks for reporting the bug!
No, Fire by Rank is a skill that in the 19th century becomes obsolete (despite being quite cool in Empire Total War). Not to mention that this qualification changes an aspect of Vanilla's AI that starts responding differently to your choices and disables you from accessing online matches normally on Napoleon.
Very strange, what is your OS? Windows or Linux?
Has the sound changed or is it the same as Vanilla? If it remains the same as Vanilla, you probably extracted the files to the wrong folder. Ultima Ratio Napoleon does not overwrite any original files by the way, so I ask you to pay attention to the folder you are extracting the mod.
Elite units are only accessed by specific nations. If you are playing with a smaller nation you will not be able to have them in your army! These special units can be released through researches in advanced combats (they also have a recruitment slot limit too). None of these restrictions were created by Ultima Ratio, all of these hard-coded are from the original Vanilla game.
Only extract the file to your game folder. The instruction is in the download area of Ultima Ratio Napoleon.
Thanx man! Unfortunately not. I particularly love Imperial Splendor, but the proposal is completely different. Imperial changes everything in the game, while Ultima Ratio only aims visual aspects keeping the game base intact as you receive it from Steam. If you combine both, you will probably see several visual bugs in the game.
Delete the "ultima_night.pack" file inside the "data" folder on your Total War
Yes, I think that is very realistic! I ended a campaign with Portugal and it was very hard to control the finances and manage several alliances to protect me in a short way. It is interesting to play with smaller nations only after having some experience with the big ones... otherwise you will be frustrated very quickly.
After some time playing with large nations, you can notice how easy it is to build large armies and take easily several cities... by the way, with smaller factions it is quite the opposite: you spend much more time managing resources, breaking/building alliances and counting your army on your fingers, so as not to lose many units.
And yes you can close the game with any smaller nation and unlocking achievements on Steam normally. Some will be more difficult, others are easier.
Unfortunately not, I gave up on changing scripts. Now I just focus on visual aspects.
