Well yeah, time vs reward, totally understand. It wasn't a 'Please do this', it was a 'if you had to, what would you choose to try next?'

Again, great mod. Lothlorien aren't my favourite elves but I can't stop playing as them because of how cool their base looks all developed! Archers on tree platforms looks fantastic. Looking forward for Mirkwood with great anticipation.

Hey, just want to say, fantastic mod, really beautifully sculpted in all aspects. Really looking forward to Mirkwood and thanks for adding a few more years onto this game, it's greatly appreciated.

My question is - are you tempted to do any other periods in the history of middle earth?

Hey guys - not sure if this is expected, but I can't select units for a quick battle. Britain is missing all units when I try to play as them. Is this normal? Is the game campaign only? Thank you.

Ah I meant the classes you can build. Considering the limited slots available, I think you made some good choices. The Marklin class has really grown on me. It just seems like a really decent ship for it's price. That said, the Korolev is outstanding and I always build my task force around one for the buffs.

Do the developers have a preferred ship in the Federation's fleet? If so, which is it?

Hey guys - firstly, fantastic mod. Really enjoying it, the attention to detail and getting to play around in a sandbox in the Four Year War era. I love the merging of ships from several sources, including some of the beauty's from JJ's Star Trek efforts.

My only criticism, is the Constitution Titan doesn't look.. 'right'. I know it's mark for mark the original, but I mean with the rest of the fleet. The choice to go with the style with the Korolev, Hermes, classes etc, well it feels like the natural progression would be the Discovery Connie as that seemed to fit the look of the rest of the faction, nacelles, colour palette etc.

So on that note - is the Connie model final? If so - what are the chances of seeing an alternate pack? in the future?

Best wishes guys, really outstanding work on an untouched era and easily my most enjoyed mod of the year.

So incredibly excited to see the Rothana ships making it into the Republic fleet.

I was absolutely gutted when it seemed they had been dropped, and I can't wait to mix them with Venators to get some revenge on those mighty CIS ships.

Yeah, I'm very excited for this but I can't get it to work at all. I've extracted all files to the soulstorm directory but and I go to game manager and activate dark angels, but nothing changes. I get the badges in army painter and that's about it.

Any advice?

Hey guys - first of all, outstanding work. It really hits the itch that the Axanar and some of JJ's trek gave us to see the heavier, real looking TOS ships in action. I think you've managed to grab the best of both worlds (:D..pun!) and got the best result on the models. Visually they function perfectly as well. You should be very proud.

Similar comment to the others, normal seems dormant and peaceful yet hard comes at you with 4 D4's in a nanosecond while you've only just researched how to 'Kelvin'.

I especially like how the Fed's need to work their way up to meet and then surpass the Klingons, but perhaps I'm doing it wrong. I know blue phasers are a must, but what defensive systems should we prioritise? Or what's the most effective way to pick a few systems and dig in?

Thanks again guys. I literally checked this mod once or twice a week since the Axanar days. So happy to see it and play it!

P.S I absolutely love the Korolev class. What a ship.

The armour colour change is to represent their time in Middle-Earth fading. The High Elves are so few in number as apposed to when they were fighting together with huge numbers in the second age. They had a king, it was the summer of their existence in Middle-Earth and their crafts showed that.

The armour here is the autumn, or winter of their time there. It's explained by Peter Jackson, and actually makes a lot of sense. Not to mention, it's the colours from the Silmarillion. Blue and Silver was a very common colour for the Noldor.

Something like that. I made Venator class tech 3's, along with LAATs at tech 2. (I mean, cmon, they had them since the first battle, same goes for AT TE's). Victories at tech 4. Cheaper, but really good alternatives to Venators. I'm sure it'll get better and more balanced when the Rothana ships are introduced.

Try playing Republic from tech 1 in GC, see what happens. People complain about the difficulty because the difficulty between the two factions is quite drastic. It's considerably easier to play as CIS. I've pointed the problem to be tech level 3 area, if you look at what ships each side has available, weapon placements on those ships etc, you'll see why it tips in CIS's favour.

But at Tech 5? It's not hard. Use Venator/Victory fleets, the Arcs are a game changer too.

Don't underestimate the Victory class ships, stick Victorys and Acclamators around the venators and you will have a good force, not to mention a solid dose of fighter's from their hangers.

HST has a point. To be honest I can only ever win as Republic against CIS when I'm tech level five and have time to prepare, and I'm not a bad player at all. CIS I never lose.

I'd agree with this except CIS still plays the way we expect. Saying that we should approach one side differently because the otherside is now too powerful, it just sounds like an excuse not to fix the problem. Both sides should be enjoyable to play, currently, one is very taxing.

I think some of these people who aren't struggling as Republic need to do a video or two about how to actually win. I shouldn't have to use Delta and Yoda to gain every planet to win the game, surely those lovely space unit skins were supposed to see use.

I did try that at one point. It gave more success, but then the bloody OP buzz droids destroyed that plan because you can't even 'attack' the buzz droids. That and some of the frigates have some serious fighter defences.

Seems I can only play CIS if I want to stand a chance of winning. I'm seriously asking this guys but who was responsible for testing the balances? It's better than prior but, barely, and I mean barely. Try playing a skirmish as Republic, and try to win. The Republic stands a chance at Tech 5, but only then, due to ARC's and Venators. The CIS get's some of the most powerful frigates/cruisers in the game at an earlier tech level and it essentially dooms the Republic as our cruisers cannot match them one on one, to top this I read earlier that you increased the AI credit income speed and decreased it's production time, making it even harder. I'm told the V19's are superior to the vulture droids, yet they can spam buzz droids and destroy the V 19's very quickly.

Now I was worried that I was only seeing it from the Republic side, yet I went over and played both CIS skirmish (x3) and a CIS GC. All of those times I beat back the enemy, rather easily too.

This cannot be the way it's intended to be. What's frustrating is that they appear to be extremely noticeable unbalanced issues.

That's a good plan, thanks. Though I have two suggestions for the mod team. A, nerf the buzz droids.. they are able to be used WAY too fast and often, it should be a one-shot ability, I'm pretty sure vulture droids looked quite slim? Doesn't look like they could carry that much.

Also, techno union frigates have insane firepower. They have the power the venators have, and considering that the Republic ships cannot hold a candle to more than one CIS frigate, I think something is needed to be done. Have you noticed all the strategies for Republic so far involve doing hit and run attacks with hero's until you can build up one massive fleet?

I've made another observation. The AI builds twice as fast and has twice as much currency. I have a feeling whoever implemented this was playing as CIS and thought 'The AI isn't tough enough'. The trouble with this is, with that 'boost' when you're playing the Republic the CIS are impossible pre-tech 5 and by no means a fair fight even then. You merely stand a chance. It worries me that this was the big 'balance' fix and I wonder if it was ever tested from the side that does not have an entire selection of frigates and one expensive yet ineffective one. (I.e the Acclamator.)

I'm really struggling as Republic. I still feel that the AI is really strong, despite the fact things are a little better now. In my opinion, (I'd like to know if others feel the same) The Acclamator is far too expensive considering it's not actually that useful. CIS basic fighters have a 'win' ability with the buzz-droids. They seem like a really common tactic and any superiority with the fighters is theirs until I get Jedi, and they're expensive.

Not to mention the CIS get their battleships a lot quicker than us, which means death in skirmish. Does anyone have a guide? Tips? They build things SO fast it just doesn't seem possible, hard enough when most of their ships have the edge in the category they belong in. (With the exception of the Venator perhaps)
