I actually have a question relating to how the elites are different from standard humans. Do Spartans use the same fauna system as the elites due to their increased strength, speed etc. or are they regular humans? (by CTA systems)

Man, I really wish I could play this mod...

I think they are including NAPD, if I recall correctly.

I have one very important question to ask... Will Blood Gulch be a map in this mod, and if so will there be the ability to have spartans in red and blue and other such colours... Basically I'm asking you if I'm going to be able to recreate the RedvsBlue Blood Gulch Chronicles and create even more misadventures for the Puma/Chupathingy loving 'soldiers'

This is the intro and part 1 of a story I was inspired to write because of this mod. I hope it doesn't take up the whole comments page. If it's too big I'll readily delete it, I just thought you guys would like to see it :).

I still remember it you know.... The day New Alexandria was glassed... We did all we could to stop them, those Covenant bastards, but there's only so much you can do against a fleet at least three times your size and enemy ground troops that hold no regard for their own lives.

I was with the 5-4 2nd Battalion 1st Reach Planetary Guard Regiment. We were a regular army unit doing the Colonial Militia's job but what do you expect this was Reach the crown jewel of the UNSC second only to Earth.

You see unlike the special units, the recon, airborne, SF, et cetera. Guard units like mine were left completely in the dark about the Covenant invasion until there were phantoms buzzing my house in the suburbs. I was in a t-shirt and jeans when I hosed my first grunts. I picked a shotgun up off of a dead NAPD officer who was in more than a few pieces by the time I found him. I now know he was a brief mid-battle snack for a couple of Brutes.

Luckily for my neighborhood, it was full of active and retired UNSCDF of all the various branches hell we had a retired Admiral. So to put it lightly we were pretty prepared for this sort of thing, not many weapons because of the strict gun control but a couple of the retired guys were active NAPD or ONI so they at least had pistols.

While technically the first priority of any active UNSC personnel in an emergency situation, especially a Covenant invasion is to report for duty immediately and await further orders, but it was very rare for a CO to hand out a court martial to a guy for making sure his wife and kids are at a secure evac zone and not in the middle of the firestorm. In total the "Neighborhood Watch" we had totaled 22 military trained and 27 armed personnel a few were dependents we'd given some backyard or on the fly basic lessons. While those days weren't a laughing matter, it was hilarious to watch 83-year-old Granny Nelson unload an entire AR magazine into the chest of an Elite Zealot.

By the time we reached the evac zone at NAIS things were pretty bad, the only guys defending it were a platoon of marines, whatever was left of the cops, and two Spartans. You should have seen the looks on the faces of the pair of Devil Dogs who saw us coming up the stairs of the front entrance in a spread diamond formation fully armed and dangerous. They thought we were Innies by the attire but knew we were military by the formation and discipline. They were astonished we had successfully managed to get a group of over 50 civilians to the evac zone with so few casualties.

Even though we had made it through the city with little more than a couple of scratches and 1 friendly fatality most everyone else hadn't been doing so hot and the defense of the city needed as many people behind triggers as possible, while those of us active duty service guys went to our unit's as protocol stated the tiny garrison holding the Spaceport actually asked the retired guys from our little band to help in the defense, and from the stories I hear at poker games from those who made it through that hell alive, I can be sure it was even worse than what they show on public record.

When I got to my unit I thought things were going to be okay, maybe this time the UNSC could beat the Covanent, we'd done it before, and this time we had the backing of a fleet even bigger than the one Admiral Cole commanded before the battle at Viperidae. Hey Reclaimer! I've been haunting this place and thus far it's still just the occasional answered question, but I am curious as well so Devs I ditto the question.

After you finish that what do you have left to do on the mod as a whole?

I'm not a dev but I'm gonna answer anyway. I can't choose one overall favorite but for the story, my favorite Halo game is Halo 3. For the multiplayer, it's certainly Reach.

Yeah that sounds cool, in regards to recreating missions I think I might try and recreate the mission from the Babysitter episode of Halo Legends where an ODST team and a spartan are sent to take out a prophet.

That does sound epic! Elites do rule, Arbiter is probably my second favorite character behind Sargent Johnson.

Alright in the spirit of inspiring cool conversation, as well as brain storm epic ideas lets share what the first thing we're going to do with this mod when it comes out. Me personally, I'm going to do a last stand with 6 ODST's and 12 UNSC Army troopers at the New Alexandria International Spaceport. The Covenant will be a mix of Brutes and grunts. As a wild card I'm also going to have some Insurgents who will start out just trying to jack one of the evacuation birds but will join the UNSC personnel in defending the evacuation.

Just because I think this page needs a little more recent awesomeness. My favorite Halo quote. "Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to Earth, and we most definitely regret the corps just blew up our raggedy *** fleet Hoorah!" and in case you didn't know that is a quote from Sargent Johnson.

And you are aware that the majority of the units that you've added into the mod whether it's because they're for regiments created in the community or not did not exist until 1862 at least. Of course I suppose you could argue that you went against the title of your mod because you made regiments pay to get the units added, but hey that would make you a sellout wouldn't it. PS if you do care about this mod perhaps you should A put a little more effort into the research for your uniform models, and B maybe you could update this moddb page occasionally just saying.

Wait it this now for MoW AS2? and also I demand Tyrion to be in here if we are making Game of Thrones references
