Mods should be placed in mods folder and be played by game exe, not the editor.

Hard drive name/program files/1c company/men of war:assault squad/mods if u have non steam game
btw. if u dont have 'mods' folder i 'men of war:assault squad' folder create new folder and call it 'mods'

I don't remember location of mods folder for steam game but i think it is easy to find if u want to
