¡Hola!

He probado hace poco sus mods con los doblajes del RE1 y RE2 clásicos, y a pesar de que se notan amateurs y las limitaciones que tienes, me han gustado como han quedado entre bien y a veces hasta divertidos con las voces poco actuadas ¡Y Tampoco es que los doblajes originales en inglés lo estuviese! No queda tan diferente a lo que había originalmente. Los he disfrutado bastante más de lo que pensaba en un principio.

¿Grabas varias voces con otras personas, o modulas las voces para que parezcan otras? Es que no he visto nada de créditos por ninguna parte y no sé si eres una o varias personas ¿O usas IA para generar las voces?

¿Tienes pensado hacer lo mismo con Resident Evil 3: Nemesis SourceNext que usa también REbirth? Es el que te faltaría de los 3 clásicos.

Tested 2.0.2, now the installer seems to work fine without any error or issue, and when i start the game the game launches as normal.

BUT...

- Compared to the 1.0 version, this one seems to be more unstable. In fact, i didn't see the second level with more than one hour playing, because it crashed a lot of times. Most of them when that second level was loading, before it created the autosave.
Maybe you can say "Ok, do the minimun setting trick", but if i need to do it every new level load (and some between too), better don't use this at all...
Also one time, the game crashed in the middle autosave of the first level (when waiting to the other guy to push the shelves allowing you to open the door) because i broke a glass window at the same time when it was autosaving... maybe the crashes are more related of how the game is accessing the files into the hard drive... Are you testing it in a SSD?

- I saw less missings textures than with 1.0. It's true that the first time i tested the mod i saw a missing texture in about 15 seconds in ( I.imgur.com ) but that was one of two or three times at most that i was aware to, something that didn't happen with 1.0 that have more of this (although, with 1.0 at the beginning of the second level the missing textures were happening every time, and this time i haven't could reach that point because the crashes).

- Other thing i've noticed this time is for me the game didn't use antialiasing at all, although is configured within the game (in the screenshot above it's noticeable). If i forced in Nvidia 3D settings, it does, but it creates flickering in some textures (especially with lights). It's not related with your mod, it happens with the vanilla game too.

EDIT about Antialiasing issue: As bodo635 point out below:

Because that thing with the antialiasing, i tested too to change your d3d9.dll (what, by the way, you didn't say any information that what it does, where you found it or if you build it yourself) with the dgVoodoo2 one, configured. With dgVoodoo2 i can use antialiasing, but it also introduces some flickering in some textures (the first room you enter in the game flickers entirely, for example, but not with lights like when i force it in Nvidia 3D Settings), and if you use it with your mod, it's like when i tested with 1.0, there are some missing textures (many more than with your d3d9.dll bundled in 2.0.2, in my opinion) and the game crashes a couple of times too, so i discarded it.

So, i don't know... this engine seems a bit refractory to a HD mod. It's a shame because the textures look beautiful and they amaze me every time i test any new version of the mod.

EDIT: Also to point out, i tested it too with the lite version, with the same results. That textures look great too! But i have no performace issues at all with either normal or lite version, they are stability issues.

When i first used the 2.0.1 EXE (copied in the 2.0 package folder), Yes.

When i used the 2.0.1 package, no, but if it's like every exe you passed me, the first time does, but succesive ones doesn't.

Tested the EXE file you provided (2.0.1) adding it to the 2.0 folder.

I have all the same issues, it doesn't work for me.

EDIT: Tested the new 2.0.1 package with the same results.

Tested:

- The only thing it does with the Debug window is appear in the beggining when i start the patch with a "0" inside I.imgur.com . I need to push the "Ok" button because i can't do anything more until i do that, the window closed, and there isn't any other info to show when it installed or anything else.

- This time, again, appeared the error when it's going to finish I.imgur.com . I can minimize the window when i push "Ok" (Or "Aceptar" in my case) but the patch window doesn't close. When is going to close itself showed this and if i try to click the X button also shown it.
But like i said before, it only happened the first time i used the patch, succesive times that error doesn't happen.

I tested too this version:

- The first time i used the patch, when it was done and supposedly it should close, it threw this message I.imgur.com and every time i try to close the window (with the X) showed it again. I closed it via task manager. It never showed again in succesives installations.

- When is installed the mod, if i launch it via Steam it shows this I.imgur.com (Can't start FEAR, Error 51) and if directly executed FEAR.exe, it shows this I.imgur.com (Steam Error...).

There isn't any mods installed (in fact, i had dinput8 fix, bigger letter mod and a spanish translation, but i tested too without any of them and it does the same).

Coincidentally i just beated today Condemned Criminal Origins, and i haven't any mayor issues with it using a neural upscale pack Moddb.com (it also is a 32 bit program and you need to use the 4GB Patch). If i'm not mistaken, both are very similar in what the engine version relates.

However, to install it with the Steam version you should do a some extracting of the original files and some things like that, and i don't know if your mod is doing that, or is needed for FEAR. In fact, i don't know exactly why you need to do that there but maybe there are some details to learn a make your mod more stable.

Anyhow, there are things you can't (and maybe you shouldn't) do if the engine it's not well prepared for that. If the upscale is so much for the engine, that's life. However looking that Condemned upscale working good maybe there are some chances.

About the installer window, the point is it doesn't appear in the desktop center, it appears in the other side of the monitor, half in the monitor, and the other half no-where because there isn't any monitor in that side, it's in the other one. And is correctly configured, you can pass the mouse and windows to that side...

Hello! Thanks for your work!

I just beated Condemned with your HD Mod (0.9 version), without any major issues.
Only i have two crashes, when loading the two last chapters. In the middle of the load it went to the desktop. But it worked when i entered the game and loaded that chapter again from the menu directly. Maybe was failing something when changes one level for another, but not when load the next level directly.

Hello. Thanks for your work! The HD textures looks great and fit perfectly the game (at least the ones i have been able to see until now).

Sadly i'm am other one with issues. It's like you said in the README and the same thing happening to some people there: a lot of textures keeps being invisible, and that is with the "base" option. The point there for me is happening always, when i load the second level, the first scene with the helicopters there is no water, and the upper part of the switch for the gate is also invisible. At one time, the weapon itself suddenly became invisible!

It's happening always i load the game from the beginning of the level, so there is no point to save/lower texture quality/load/rise texture quality or reset the game, also if it can be doing it in every level. I can keep it low... but then whats the point for a higher quality textures...

It's seems it's like the game can't handle the textures, maybe one reason it's because it's a 32 bit game. I had some issues in the first level too (when using the higher quality version) and i used the 4GB patch for EXEs (mentioned in pcgamingwiki) and it looks it does something, however the second level has those issues again. And also with the "high quality version", i have a lot of crashes between the levels (i have three in 20 minutes, just when hit enter to start the level). At least with the "base" version i don't have crashes.

Anyway, i wanted to ask, the patch changes the FEAR.EXE too? i think i read you somewhere it does, and if it's the case, what are the EXE working version and the changes made? Also there is something we can do to help you to sort these issues?

PD.: Also i have a little issue with the installer. The pop-out message window when the mod is installed or uninstalled keeps appearing in the edge of the monitor. I have two monitors, but the window is in the far right, and because you can't move it, i only can see half of the window (i am always wondering what is recommended for, because i can't see it more xD).

Completely true. My mistake. Seems like a Windows Update recently did a Graphic driver update and reset all the default settings to Quality.
The issue is the Palette Emulation setting, when you have Anisotropic Filtering on or the "Quality" setting in NVIDIA panel, in my case. Nothing to do with the voxel pack.

Hello

When using BuildGDX 1.05 with Polymost render, the game look like this Imgur.com. These lines appears in the videos, menu... seems they show in all textures.

When using classic render, all looks fine.

The enemies look pretty good like this. Nice work!
