Your standard 7-zip or winrar should work fine for extracting it. I linked a full video up above if that helps more. :)

Myrddin one of the Moderators on the discord did a youtube Intstruction video for the install a while back, though it should still be applicable: Youtube.com

Lol, forgot to sign in and not sure if my guest reply will show up.

Did you take the Wizarding World.mod file out of the CK2WizardingWorld folder and put that into the mod folder as well? It is an easy step to miss.

In case that doesn't work feel free to message me and I can try and help you find a solution. If I'm not on we often have moderators available on the Discord who can help and even some instructional videos and images for installing and/or cheating.

All the Dlcs should be fine. It could be an install error however. I'd check your checksum after booting it up as it should be VEOK, if it's not that there is an issue.
I can try helping from here if you like but I am more easily able to help from the discord, so feel free to mesage me there if you haven't already. :)

Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will both be added in later bookmarks, however I don't believe a decision to found them is in the works, as that'd take a lot of work as well as map implementation that'd only be applicable for the one bookmark. It is an interesting topic for a potential sub-mod though.

Well first Beauxbatons and Durmstrang were said from the beginning to not be in the first release here as this bookmark focuses on the founding of Hogwarts and both schools came after.
Second, If you're talking about getting you Hogwarts letter the event is in game, and if you are talking about purchasing an Owl that is in there too.
As for the quests as Vahl has said more will come in later updates.
You are correct in stating it is incomplete, but it is a first release not a last release so once again that was always to be expected. If you're owl event is behaving incorrectly you can always put that under bug reports on the discord though.

sch92 left these instructions below that I find work very well. It sounds like you just missed the secondth step.
Unzip the file and put the mod's folder in "C:\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod".

Inside the mod's folder you will see a file named "Wizarding World v0.2.0.mod". Take it and put it in "C:\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod".

Then check the mod in the launcher.

Not that I've seen so far as a player. But you can edit the save to add them manually.
And no, I don't believe it is compatible.

Magic lvl is done by hidden traits it seems, so add_trait magic_lvl_10 remove_trait magic_lvl_2 (where 2 is whatever you want to remove) etc to set it. Then run event magic_lvl.2 or 3, I think 2 though to update it.
For spells they are done by character flags and randomized events, so from what I can tell they're best added by editing the save.

He is trying to fulfill his commitment though, which you can see through his comments here, or through his progress updates on the Discord.
Further more excuse me if I don't take advice from people who throw around the word "manipulating" when the developer is doing this in his free time and clearly not for profit.
Also please kindly remember that spell check is your friend and not an enemy. ;p

In to what? Waiting a little longer for a good mod? He's shown his progress in the Dev Diaries, and more still in the discord. Every developer has had last minute delays in development especially ones with small teams or sole developers. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Just be patient, even if it takes a little longer it'll be worth it.

For all those posting asking when the Mod will be out, Vahl has confirmed the Mod will be released today. It'll just be being released later in the evening BST time. I hope that answers some of your questions.

To quote Vahl's response elsewhere to the question:
"There are some features that include aspects of the DLC, for example:
Holy Fury (Bloodlines)
Reapers Due (Epidemics)
Conclave (Education)
Variety of Portrait DLC for Wizard Families that aren't English/Saxon.

We'll get a more definitive list for you prior to release, but these are the main ones. You can still play without the DLC's, but of course you won't experience these aspects of the mod."

I believe the original beta was just a zip file that you needed to unzip in the the paradox mod folder, and that was for v2.4.5.
The Upcoming Rework (release date Sept 1) will be for the most current version of CK2, and will in all likelihood be the same install procedure (i.e. unzipping the file inside the mod folder).

Vahl just recently (Moments ago) updated the release date on the Discord, the full statement is under announcements there and I'm sure they'll update the message here too when they time. :)
I do recommend going and reading the full statement or waiting to see it here (it involves potential mod quest spoilers), but for those that can't wait the new release date is September 1st. Though they have selected that as a worst case scenario that gives them time to fix some significant bugs and hope to actually have it out sooner than that.

No idea, as I said I'm not a dev. ;p
One can hope however, and with them saying their close, it's certainly within the realm of possibility.
We just have to be patient a bit longer though, they are working as hard as they can to get it finished and to us, and that's on top of the busy lives they lead and these troubling times.

Not a dev so take all I say as seriously as a knock-off i-phone. :p
That being said I'd keep my eyes peeled over the next few weeks rather than months.
As Vahl said just a little below "No not at all, we're just at a stage where we feel no need for more Dev posts, at least for the moment. We're trying to finish things up for a release. We're almost there."

The original beta version was for v2.4.5, and it can be found here: Moddb.com

The latest rework of the mod is not out yet but it will be for the current version of CK2.

No new news in particular.
The last official message was that they had been hoping for April but had been held back by some overlooked details and that they'd be doing all they could to finish up as soon as possible but that they had to work to their schedules.
That being said, about a week and a half ago Vahl posted in the Discord that "the focus is just tying up loose ends now." and that they're "looking forward to sharing it with you all."
So that being said, I'd say the best words of the devs to remember right now are the ones concluding the last dev diary, "We are certainly close, but please bare with us just a little longer!" :)

Much closer to lore than just losing it from marrying a half-blood and never being able to gain it back IMO. In lore I believe it's if your parent and grandparents are all wizards you are considered pure-blood, though not as pure-blood as the sacred Twenty-Eight.

As an edit of my current statement below one of the helpers said this on the discord today, "In Regards to your idea, your family can become Pureblood after 3 generations of marrying pure-bloods.", After someone posted your suggestion to the discord. :)

From my understanding, as the mod is right now once pureblood status is lost it will remain lost with no way to gain it back.
That being said, an event like that sounds interesting and I'm sure some of the people on the discord would love to see it. If you feel like posting it there under suggestions.
Edited in new statement above, just keeping this for posterity.

Yes they are. :)
You can see a teaser for the event in Dev Post #07:
"So we've briefly spoken about creating Horcuxes within the game, well here is a little glimpse into that. Achieving eternal life may seem like greatness, but it might just be a curse."

I know it's not a direct answer to your question Maslo but as it is related to it.
Vahl, when asked roughly the same question on April 22nd on the Discord, replied, "Honestly hard to say. We thought April, but we were held back by some overlooked details. We're doing everything to finish as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the wait, but we have to work to our schedules, not the publics. All the best!"
I hope that addresses it a little for you at least. :)

My apologies if it came off as blaming anyone for their anticipation this mod. As it would be very hypocritical of myself, as I'm also on the edge of my seat waiting for the mod. I was simply trying to both answer the question asked, as well as to positively encourage patience not for our own sake but for the developers. Simply because while our lives have been on hold in quarantine, not of all of theirs have. As was shown through Vahl's statement on the Discord on 04/13/2020, "My life was not put on hold though, I still have a job to work. Find some hobbies." While it may be our dream and hope to see it released as soon as possible, it is their dedication and their passion that will be bringing it to us and we need to trust in their knowledge of when it'll be ready.

Well if you have any suggestions for the game, The developers have set up three chats rooms on the discord, where people can leave general suggestions, flavour-event suggestions, and talk about the suggestions people made. If you're interested. :)
