Proof that roguelikes aren't a dying breed. Enough challenge to keep casual gamers like me from winning easily, but not so much that winning is impossible.

The development team pays close attention to their forums, as well as other media that's linked to them. They've incorporated suggestions by players in their updates, and will explain WHY they do things (assuming there's a reason).

Buy it because it's a great game. Keep playing because it's steadily improving.
