XBOX One do we want it

LoftySgtTaylor Blog

With the announcement that the new Xbox One will be released soon and that it will be a 'media hub' and not just a games console, I ask thee, Do we want this.

Of course the media and main gaming magazines will say yes, but me I SAY NO, the reason is the Xbox is a GAMING CONSOLE, not a media center, yes Xbox live now has internet explorer and twitter and facebook, but with this new one, I dont want that. I want a games console, where I play games, not get bogged down by a TV channel.

along with this there is also the pay to play preownd games or a rented game, this is going to make the market crash and burn, bad move Microsoft, EA has just dropped the code for online, why did you pick it back up to haunt us gamers.

Kinect, yeah right, I used the first one, what a load of rubbish, it hardly focused on what i was doing, my golf shots never left the tee, and it was hard to calibrate (might have something to do with me being 6 foot 4)

So, sorry Microsoft, I am sticking with my Xbox 360.

Who is the real gods of the gaming world

LoftySgtTaylor Blog

People are always full of adrenaline with the upcoming release of a new game, be it CoD, Battlefield or Halo (or any of the untold millions of games out there) and they revere the gaming creators as gods, but I ask, are they the real gods, the game developers or is it the gaming community. (this excludes modders and anyone who create free to play games)

now lets look back into the history of some of the many religions, NOTE I WILL NOT NAME ANY SPECIFIC RELIGION, some of them did sacrifice to their gods to please them, to keep peace with other countries, to make sure of a victory in battles, or to calm the seas around their homes. jump to modern day and gamers sacrifice their money for the new games, but lets take a leaf out of the Mass Effect 3 ending out cry, gamers where not happy, so up happy in fact that Bioware released a DLC for the game with an extended ending, now i am unsure of if this has happened in the past but, I beleive its not the developers that are the gods of gaming but the gamers them selves, now i am not saying that we should all go around dressed as thor demanding developers make games to our personal liking (or worse) but if we dont like something about a game, you can be sure the developers will feel the gaming communities wrath, for example the creators of Aliens: Colonial Marines are currently being sued (or so a source says) over their game as in one trailer it shows part of a mission that in the game does not exist.

So I ask again, who do you think are the real gods of the gaming world, the developers who gamer sacrifice their money to in hopes of a brilliant, 'oh my god cant put the controller down' game, or the gaming community who developers sacrifice time and money developing the games for the community in hopes of praise and riches.

MASS EFFECT 3 ENDING

LoftySgtTaylor Blog

its been a while since mass effect 3 came out, when i finished it i was shocked, how rubbish was the ending, your choices where death, death, or death with a posibility of survival but your not sure.

but they did redem themselfs in my mind with the extended cut, by assing that bit of information at the end made me feel happy at how it ended as it showed the galaxy wasnt exactly screwed over, especially the control enidng, that made me really happy that i stayed with control every time
