"The story of Dr. Ivan Dyson"
The story begins in the early beginnings of the enormous subterranean and ultra-secret scientific complex installed in a disused military base in the New Mexico desert, called Black Mesa. You are the first of the subjects to use the first prototype HEV Mark1 protective suit as well as your research group, the mission is to explore the border world "Xen" and collect samples for research, Dr. Ivan Dyson manages to extract successfully a pure sample of Xen glass, the exploration team manages to send the sample through the portal to the Black Mesa; but everything goes wrong, when Ivan and his group decide to go further to Xen and then be ambushed by the most dangerous species of xen, which are everywhere, and your co-workers are falling like flies, even though they were equipped Ivan and his team with large machine guns; bullets were not effective with all creatures, among all a great being with an impenetrable shell (gargantua) easily crushes and devour almost the entire team; you have resisted the worst attacks for trying to save the few who managed to remain standing; but accidentally one of the creatures pushes you and makes you fall from a great height, you are the only one to survive the massacre and the reason why you are still alive is thanks to your protective suit H.E.V.
Ivan tries to contact the scientists on the other side with the radio of the suit but nobody responds and apparently the scientists of Black Mesa heard on the radio screams of horror from the other side, they made a desperate decision to close the portal in order that none of the bloodthirsty creatures will attempt to cross the portal to their world.
The scientists conclude that Ivan and his squadron have been killed by the attack of the Xen fauna.
Now our character will have to learn to survive in this new hostile environment, save the little ammunition for his machine gun and try to find a way out.
