The idea certainly has the potential, but when you release the mod tools or perhaps even the source code, modders will be able to change the game so much it will barely resemble the game we all know and love, and I feel that's a little out-of-place.
Even without the mods, BF2 is an absolutely kickass game.

Whenever I think of my mod and all the awesome stuff I want to put in it, the old feeling always creeps back a little...
I'm not gonna let that play any role, when I do feel like I should quit, i'm going to quit regardless of the status or popularity of the mod, not listening to that feeling is what made me quit modding temporarily in the first place...
I'm gonna go off-line for a fair period, reasons why are explained on my mod page...

Good news everyone, SoF is back on track! I've finally decided to revive it after a long (and needed) break from BF2 modding, progress won't be lightning fast, more news coming soon!
Since I have no permission to edit my own mod for some reason :{ , I might continue SoF under a new name, don't know what...
just gotta get the rights back, then i'll be back in action (hopefully)
ANOTHER news-flash: I've decided NOT to make a new mod, but to revive SoF instead...
