Yes, the model has been created in this way and is of course ready to be included in the game.

I don't think role playing is a hard process. You just need to follow the RP rules of the mod and have a lot of motivation! Of crouse, when you RP in-game and off game, your role playing actions have to be coherent with your character and especially your faction.

Yes, you can. Dwarven factions will have High RP level, like Elven factions. This means that you will have to create a character, the backstory of your character and especially master him as much in-game than off-game (for the Discord RP communications especially). But, dwarven crafter is a good RP way to follow. :) We expect to have probably 70% of entire players as military orientation, so we will need worker! ;)

This is a possibility that we will consider very soon, but since 2018 the mod planned to be a sub-mod of Kingdoms of Arda. COME is actually in "unveil" phase since we were not active until our departure of Warband. With the arrival of Bannerlord, we are actually gather some members of our old Warband development dev team and new ones of course, and we prepare a huge announcement for the upcoming days. Be patient, news coming fast and soon! :D

This is innovative idea! But is the mod will be like the signleplayer (every player controls their own army of AIs) or like PW (players play their own character and made PW things: capture castles, make wars, etc.)?

If this is the first option, my fears is about the lattencies that total amount of AIs + players can caused on the server. And in the other way, if this is like PW, I can't see the using of this mod for a 200-slots server. The world would be way too big for a total of 200 players, no? Except if you orientates this toward a concept implying micro-factions (10 players maximum per factions), I don't see how you can manage it to have a multiplayer RP server which really works.

Yes, there will have some NPC interactions, but not so much. You have to take in consideration that the mod is almost specifically based on community & players interactions. All players will have a very precise and particular role in the open world. For example, a player could play the role of a faction king, a another of peasant and even some others as monsters (oh yes :D... in our case, these roles will be reserved to admins and very limited standard players). The only NPCs that it will be possible to interact/fight in COME will be Orcs and Goblins. Like Davy said, we plan to put forward journey in the universe which it will be possible to players to fight NPCs (this is a kind of co-op missions). But, I want to say to you however, the journeys will probably not be available in the first version, but later. Anyway, we plan to put some interactive NPCs everywhere in the open world, like traders or Orc patrols for example.

Also, don't worry about the dev, we progress well at the moment. Sadly, we have some members who have not so much time to put in the project at the moment (I'm part of them unfortunately), but the others dev members work hard (and I want to thanks them because they keep the project alive). ;)

We have already all the servers ready to use (Henry, the Community Manager EU, is our official hoster) and some support from the community (in this case, this is a server hosting company who offer to help us). And of course, for the long term, I think the donations from the community will be a important process to help us to fund the servers (because yes, it is expensive on the long term).

We already thought about some funding strategies who will be, contrary to some other video game projects, not unfair, unattractive and unecessary for you, the community. Indeed, we don't want to claim and even obligated the community to do donations; we think that donations must be a community and useful process, something who should have a sense for the donator. So, if you make donations to COME, we want that you really get something back and especially want that your donation being really useful for you, this is our vision of this aspect.

For our first funding strategy, we thought about a system where players will be able to buy a house / tavern and even agricultural fields in COME universe. This system would be fully incorporate in the mod and the website by a database process. We will give you some more informations about this later, but I can say to you it is already under construction. Also, we thought about a another funding strategy: a community funding campaign. It is something of very innovative, that we although want to keep secret for the moment, and that we absolutly think who could help us to fund servers, website features and even (if the community potentially participate to the idea and support us) help us to employ semi-pro / pro persons to help us to increase and develop the mod faster. Again, I can't give you more informations actually because it is stll in discussion into the dev team, but I can ensure that more informations about this coming really soon.

Last thing, for the Pay to win ideology, WE ABSOLUTLY DON'T WANT to use this in COME. Don't worry, all the Dev Team is totally against this kind of ideology. In COME, all our concept is based around the participation of the community. So, all is based on the role that each player has in the all universe; and this role they have/obtain when they enter in this universe is only linked to their skill, merit, experience and even their status in the Warband community (yes, this is the other side of the coin, but players who will obtain the status of faction leaders or iconic character for example will have worked and make their proof during few years to gain this privilege), not the money that you put in the game.

So, I hope this long monologue will have clarify certain aspect of COME with you.

Yes of course. The majority of seiges will be part of war battle events. So, if you dream to participate to Minas Tirith or Helms Deep seiges for example, your wishes will be quickly answered because massive seiges will be frequent in the COME universe. ;)

Take however in consideration that few rules will be linked to this gameplay aspect. In COME, we consider a seige as a event battle; it is not possible for example to make seige anytime and everywhere in the open world like we can see in PW.

LeGenDdS - - 32 comments @ [Old Version] Woodcutter camp near to Mirkwood

We will use the same economic system than Kingdom of Andria, the mother-mod of COME. As you can see with the infos you can get about KoA, their economic system is pretty developped and realistic (especially with the few profession choices available for the players). So, I can say that the capacity to obtain money will vary in function of aims of the player. But I can say to you without doubt that in COME, every players will have to work before to go to fight; they will have to obtain the rank/prestige (that will require some money) to join the army of the faction and buy military equipments for example.

COME put forwards a huge Open World of 9 linked-servers (most probably 10... it is in our final plans). So, it is possible for the player to travel between the servers, so between the region of the universe. We had discussions about the idea to eventually reduce each cycle at 3 hours instead of 6 hours. During the last hours, we realized that maybe 6 hours is a too long period of time for day / night transition, since some players will play during different timezones and will have the bad luck to only evolve in the OW during the day or only during the night during their playing. So, we discuss about it at the moment, and we will take a official decision soon.

The Open World System allows to players to travel between few servers. For COME, the final version of this Open World will contain 9 servers, so 9 regions. The Open World will technically be the inter-connexion of 9 differents servers: each region of this universe being hosted on one specific server.

If you want to have more informations about it, I invite you to read our TaleWorlds thread: Forums.taleworlds.com

No problem for your English grammar, I have the same problem since i'm French native speaker. And thank you for your feedback! :D

Also, I know we have not given a lot updates and news during the last days. But, don't worry, we still work hard on the mod. The development is just more slow right now since we are in a period which we have, for the majority, not a lot free times to work on COME. Again, don't worry about it, because a Status Uptade article coming this week and this one will contains some amazing news about some features! ;)

Thank you for your commentary! :)

In fact, all help is welcome! If you are motivated to have a writing role, I think the Historian role for COME could interested you. When the mod will released and the Open World active, we will need to have some players of the community, called Historian, who will have the function to see and analyze players activities in-game and write these player activities, interactions (conflicts, wars, alliances, ring quest progress, economic / political situation of factions, etc) under the form of chronicles; these chronicles would be freely available to all the community, and probably published on our official forum or even a Wikia page for example.

So, you see that even you have no modding knowledges, you can contribute by differents ways for the mod. ;)

Ok, wow. You are accusing me and DanyEle with false evidence which is clearly photoshopped (probably also why you must've taken so long to release these photos). One thing to note is that I have never had Teoiss on my Steam friends' list and never talked with him. This alone shows how these accusations are ridiculous! In addition, by throwing these untrue statements, you are clearly trying to undermine my personal reputation and the reputation of DanyEle who is a well known coder for Warband. And for what? Because you panic at the growth of our project, which shows more potential than your mod.

If that's not enough, you spam these baseless lies all over our threads / platforms in hopes of seeing our mod project utterly destroyed. For what reason? The only answer I can think of is your fear of our mod project's potential, which you wish to tarnish at every opportunity. What a good mentality you have.

Yes, DanyEle and I have been trying to help you with your mod (PLotR). We have offered our help, and tried to do one thing: make your mod better. That was our only goal. At the beginning, I have contacted DanyEle because I had an interesting idea in mind: to make an open world mod based on the LotR universe similar to my old mod: New World Conflict. When I have contacted DanyEle, I already wanted to make my own mod and wanted to recruit him for it, but DanyEle convinced me to join Persistent Lord of the Ring project. So, we came into the PLotR team and we had given them our idea: to make a LotR open world mod. In addition, we have also told them how to achieve it. But, very quickly, we realized that your mod project was really unkempt. Your organization level was truly awful, in fact it had almost none. Everybody did their own thing on their side without communication. It was the first reason why we left your project to do our own mod. The second reason why we felt the need to leave was that we had a very opposite vision in terms of gameplay: you just had no vision and clear idea about the gameplay, and you just never gave us your clear intentions concerning the open world idea… it was something of an improvisation. As you can see with our mod, we have a clear vision of what we want to do, and we have worked hard to develop this. Finally, the last reason why we did our own mod: I’m sorry to say, but your source code was totally abhorrent. We have primarily left because the PLotR codes were complete and utter nonsense. If you want the truth, DanyEle convinced me to leave your mod because there was no hope with PLotR source code, as it was too poorly made! The unjust accusations that we have stolen the source code is quite ironic considering the fact that we have made our own mod because the source code of PLotR mod was totally **** (and I am not embarrassed to say this about your entire mod actually).

Additionally, don’t try to say that we had become quiet, or did not respond to your messages as you said in your previous post: we have clearly told Kael that we didn’t want to help him anymore with his project because we clearly did not have the same intentions and vision with the mod… and we did it a few times, not once but multiple times before we left actually. To say that you tried to contact us after we left is also a big lie, as no one from your team tried to speak with us after our departure. We had even tried to contact you to prevent any misunderstandings before your accusations (and this is not the first one, we got plenty of spam from fanatics for a few weeks), but you totally ignored us. Regardless, I still don’t know why you did these accusations against me, I never talked to you and I don’t even know you.

As we said in a comment below to respond to another false accusation from your immature community, we have made our source code from scratch. We used the Persistent World 4.0 source code version as basis, since our Open World System script (combined world) is in this one.

Furthermore, if you did these shameful accusations because you feared that our mod would be released in several days before yours, THIS NOT THE CASE. We are in the early stages of development, our release will be in a few months. For now, we have only started to make our features, everything is far from ready… especially for mapping and scripting (the implementation of TLD items and scene props in the source code is not even finished).

In conclusion, please stop spreading these false accusations with baseless proof clearly photoshopped and manipulated in this case. You just do harm to the reputation of the community and the game. You have to accept that you have a competitor now, and just stop with these underhanded and shameful attempts at destroying our reputation, as it is not a very mature and acceptable behavior for a Dev Team of a mod project. In fact, we will be contacting the ModDB team and TaleWorld team about this unprovoked attack against us.

Open World means inter-connection of a few servers; so, the player can travel between these servers and go in other regions (servers) of the Open World. Right now in Warband, it is impossible to do travelling without loading, because of the limited size of maps and also the limited slots of servers (200 or even 250). But I can say to you that it is possible right now to create a huge immersive universe on Warband, and this only by using our current Open World System. When I say: immersive universe, I am talking about a potential Open World of 1000+ slots in total!

Although, we plan to make a 9-servers Open World for our final version of our project. Each server will aid us in reproducing all the iconic regions of Middle Earth with a great attention to detail. So, players will have the possibility to go everywhere in the universe by travelling from one server to another, ie. from one region of the Open World to another.

I invite you to consult our TaleWorlds thread (specially the Immersive Open World section) to obtain more information about the technicalities of the Open World System. Here is the link: Forums.taleworlds.com

Also, I think I will made a full article really soon to explain more clearly this aspect to everyone.

We have stolen nothing. We use our own source code based on the Persistent World 4.0 one, because the basis of our Open World System (combined world scripts) is on this source code OSP version. So please stop spreading false accusations and rumors, since you have never talked with our Dev Team or even seen our source code. If anything, I should be the one reporting you for attempting to deface the mod with no evidence supporting your outrageous claim.
