A Hive Mind, a Haunting, and Humanity's best chance of coming home. Step into the role of the hive-mind responsible for deep space search and rescue in a time where humanity's been forced from Earth. Spread across five bodies and four species, your job was to be the last, best hope for those lost in space to be found. But when tragedy strikes, and a danger as old as the universe starts to creep into our solar system, it's up to you to decide the fate of more than just humanity. Will you do what's right for the species that created you? Can you be the ruthless and calculating savior of mankind, or the kind and benevolent moral core of a crisis spinning out of control? Your decisions guide the story, and the fate of the souls, living and dead, around you. Follow us on Twitter @LaikaDosha

Laika Dosha Alpha Demo v0.11 released!

Download Laika Dosha - Alpha Demo 0.11 here.

Laika Dosha's alpha demo, version 0.11, has been released.

This is a minor update that addresses bug fixes.

If you discover any new bugs, please report them on the Developer's Log on Laika Dosha's website, or email directly atlaikadosha@rochefortwrites.com. Please include if possible the fork path you were on, and if a line number is given, thank you.

Bug fixes on this release include:

    • The letter to Molly now shows up in the "Joyous Hallucination" --> Truth path.
    • Gustavson quotes should now be functioning correctly.
    • Sabotage was missing images. Fixed that!
    • Luck bug resolved in "A Lucky Coincidence" path.

Quality of Life improvements:

    • Font size increased from from 24 to 26, due to multiple requests for larger font.
    • Some longer fades were integrated at player request.
    • Habitat scene unzoomed, so you can actually see the ball Pauline is throwing.
    • Some new art snuck in here and there. Lots of art assets added to the game in preparation for 0.2

Unresolved:

    • Unresolved: Visual continuity, "Best Software Error Ever" path. Not a bug, but I'll get the proper visual continuity resolved for 0.2.
    • Unresolved: Some images need to be jogged up because the text box is covering important visual details. Not a bug, but it'll be fixed in 0.2, most notably for the Ant+Pig scene and the memorial speech.

Coming next update:

    • Lies, filthy lies, and statistics. You'll be able to explore the "Lie" path in dealing with Major Gustavson, and open up some new narrative paths.
    • Treachery. Some of the new narrative paths allow you to begin setting down a path of Hive supremacy. Just because they made you, doesn't necessarily mean they made you loyal.

    • The Duke of Milan. Where it all begins to go so terribly, terribly wrong.
