Im an Ex-PC Tech who has a tendency for trying to see how far i can push computer's (and sometime's people :P) I do tend to be a little outspoken at times, i try to be as straight with ppl as i can but that often ends with my foot in my gob as i can be a little too blunt sometimes. Not really what you would call the sociable type, i do enjoy going out with friends but cant stand being in groups. I'm more the stay at home with a nice film to watch a few drinks and a good meal type. I'm really into Wolves, Dragons and Tigers especially in a Fantasy Art style. I collect Dragon ornaments to keep on display, still collecting them though.

Hope you guys are okay and make a comeback stronger than ever :)

Don't let the pressure get to you, use the old saying "the games ready, when its ready" :D. The people who know the game will still be here when you guys get fixed up.

Looks good. Be better if it was native, but meh seems I'm a little less pedantic than others.

Hopefully future releases of Wine will fix some of the issues, or they will decide to go native.

Desura for Linux pwns... just want to be able to adds ETQW and Doom3 to it now :p for the mods

Was hoping for War.Inc to maybe work towards a linux version but tbh they don't seem to be interested at all, it doesn't even work on wine :(.

So if anyone knows of a nice looking TPS that's available for linux :D

If not guess I'll have to wait till idTech4 goes opensource and design something xD

Yep the 4.0.0 alpha which is in gentoo and can be downloaded actually gives libtiff.so.5, the last stable was 3.9.4 and they seem to have messed up the numbering scheme for it. sym links work great but it's not really a "good" solution.

Not sure if you guys have tested Redeclipse, but there seems to be a problem with it and zero ballistics, i think the ZB one has been mentioned (crashs on startup, no error logs, just doesnt go). The Redeclipse one is a little more serious.. It actually is being linked to a file called libtiff.so.4 which outside of a few distros (who actually symlink to an older version) doesnt actually exist. The latest libtiff is 3.9.4.

It's posted a lot around the google-web :p

May want to look into it just incase anyone doesn't check and blames the desura client for it.

It's going here! :p clicked it as soon as i saw the penguin.

At the moment other than not having a "save login" and being unable to buy games it's working perfectly well for a beta. Tested it in Gnome 3, KDE 4.7 and Openbox, no big issues (apart from KDE has a messed up login box at first).

Great job all who worked on it, gonna have fun testing this. You guys deserve a big grats from everyone, plus a few beers :p

From the looks of it, def something to keep an eye on for sure. The breakdown in the fourth image got me intrigued aswell.
