Approximately 10 years before Gothic 1 events. Just after naval battle with orcs at Eastern Archipelago.
We will be keeping assets our team members created back when we were known as 'The History of Khorinis' (members that are still with us, 31 of them to be precise). A few things will obviously change but you could say we are continuing the project. Hopefully we will be seeing two very different mods, unless of course our former boss keeps violating our intellectual property.
It's our artists interpretation of regular Gothic troll. We might try adding other species of trolls to the game looking like this one.
We were at some point. We were using the money to pay for recording studios and recording equipment. And since we gathered enough we hid the option to donate from our homepage. To my surprise a lot of people expressed a will to donate. to which Dark replied that donations page may reopen in the future.
I also replied on our forums.
We are not sure about english voice acting at this point. I believe we will decide after we finish recording polish voice acting. It is highly probable however if we will be able to find people willing to volunteer.
I myself will make dx11 viable option for our mod. The official release will be without dx11 support(by that i mean it will not have dedicated settings and normal maps, other than that it will be able to run dx11)
We are against l'hiver texture pack since while it might look good, it doesn't reflect the old gothic atmosphere. It changes too much in our opinion, most of the textures are from games like skyrim, the witcher, etc. where the rendering technology is much different than in zengine(occlusion, tesselation, normal maps, post processes).
I am not sure whether we can change body to a higher definition one. It might be possible, but as far as I know no one has proposed this yet. Thanks to you we might just do that.
Impossible to say, but you can be quite sure it is over 50%.
If this wasn't moddb where mods have to accept the news, I would post some screenshots from WIP models every now and then, but unfortunately this would be probably considered spam here.

I can't speak of anything new yet, the work is still in progress though.
This game wasn't designed for newer OS's (win7, vista, etc.), so it lags pretty much on those. Now we are thinking about some big changes, which I shan't speak of yet. Generally the system requirements are unknown yet.

Yes we did find! 4 brand new blood sacks(persons :P) ready to contribute their work for our cause! Our leader wrote an article about the mods progression lately. I will probably be translating this soon and putting this on moddb :)
The work is still in progress. Moreover we lack 3d artists, this makes the wait time even longer. I believe the 3d part is taking the most of our time. The world mesh is completed in about 45%.
I am considering making some kind of developers blog about the world development.
Unfortunately no, we do not know when we will be releasing the mod. We hope to do so as soon as possible though.
This mod will be really long, we are thinking about dividing it in some parts.
