Everyone is being able to use their own weapons at the Tranning Field (including me), so I end up just one shoting my recruits and quickly upgrading them.

Is this intended or needs fixing?

WW2 its a better choice overall, since everyone knows WW2 but only Hoi4 players know about TNO.

By doing a WW2 scenario you will be granting a fun experience for all players.

Because everyone knows ww2, but only Hoi4 players know about TNO.

Also TNO would be very unbalanced thanks to the factions overall design.

Indeed. A minor chinese themed faction next to the Alien Shogunate territory would be a nice touch.
He could also make some other minor factions related to the koreans and mongolians.
Or even add a whole new alien sub-race related to the vietnamese, thai and indochinian peoples.

It is really unfortunate how he sadly passed away. He gave us countless hours of fun and entertainment with his talanted and well-polished mods...

As a brazillian I got mad respect for the Paraguayan Military. They lasted for 7 years against the 2 biggest countries in the entire continent, and all of that with limited resources and manpower. Solano López as indeed a great tactician.

Damn, that's a hard question indeed... all those options would make great games using the PW's atmosphere.

I belive a mix of Survival with RPG (like Skyrim) and even RTS would be great combination.
Just imagine a world where you're just another creature trying to survive, and thus you need to escavange resources, build, fight enemies, and at the same time you gather resources to build outposts, bases, cities and even an empire (also leading your troops directly).

Also a RPG like Skyrim you could use your race's stats at your advantage (just like how Argonians are better at stealh, bosmer as archers, and so on).

So, basically my idea would be a survival, where you gather resources and try to not die, then you can build outposts and stuff, all at the same time a RPG like-experience similar to Skyrim

In the end, the only thing that would matter is replayability and freedom.
There would't be a storyline, since the player would write his own story.

I would say a mix of Kenshi, Medieval Dynasties, This land is Mine, Men of War, Banished and Total War would do the trick.

Thing is, altough our world is indeed unbalanced, there are no creatures that can simply sustain literally hundreds of bullets like the old mummies and ghouls.
Probally there should be hints on how to properly defeat those ultra-op units, so the game can remain "unbalanced" but at the same the fair since the player will know how to counter such units.
