Hello IndieDB!

Here at King Crow Studios we are making a game called Quest of Souls. A twin-stick, RPG, shoot 'em up pixel graphics adventure we like to think is a cross between Pocky & Rocky 2 with Secret of Mana and some Bioware/Bethesda dialogue thrown in there with multiple endings like Chrono Trigger.

All those name drops are some of the games that inspire us the most when making Quest of Souls. Final Fantasy 3 (SNES) is another big influence, as is Super Smash TV.

We want to recreate the classic twin-stick RPG shooter experience from the 90's era of video gaming and upgrade it with the technology we have available now.

Quest of Souls follows a dragonslaying corgi, a goodly lich, and a lizardman samurai on their quest to track down a stolen artifact of great power!

Our team works out of a creative video game space called the Level Up Lab at the Louisiana Technology Park. It is here we got to meet other indie teams like Pixel Dash Studios, BitFinity Games, and Starblade Games, and work with them to create our first game.

We have weekly developer blogs, regular progress posts on social media, regular corgi pics posted, and we show up to gaming events as often as we can (PAX South 2016 was awesome!). Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to keep in the know!

The team has been working diligently on polishing our demo we first presented at PAX South 2016 this year, and it will be released to the public via Steam to coincide with our Kickstarter on March 31st!
