Cry of Fear was a dark and personal journey, the story was great and the twisted and scary atmosphere was just thrilling. It was astounding what you could do with Gold Source, honestly i never thought that this kind of game would be even possible, especially the graphics that look much more recent. The enemies are a colorful and creepy assortment that send chills up your spine just looking at them. The horror factor in the game itself seems to be a mix of classic Japanese horror and also western horror that will keep you awake for days. The story it just too good to give away but it was a mystery to the end. The only thing that really bothered me about this mod and stopped me from giving it a 10/10 is some of the bugs, it was mostly free of minor bugs but 2 major bugs that resulted me having to load saves and loose a ton of progress was the whiteout that would randomly happen and crashes when transferring between levels. Apart from those bugs i still give it a 9/10 because it is a truly unique experience to play something that just got that under my skin that made me want to stop but at the same time made me want to keep struggling to the end.
