Super impressed with the new update, but the scaling on the smg is silly. Definitely needs to be beefed up a bit.
I’d definitely keep some of the beta weapons that had really unique functions, like the immolator and combine guard gun, but there were also a lot of weapons with identical functions in the beta so it isn’t worth trying to include them all. There’s a reason they were cut!

About the player’s arsenal: I’d prefer to see a beta-style mod that doesn’t just throw in every single weapon from retail and beta HL2. You don’t need to include both the crowbar and stunstick as melee weapons since they function identically, or the mp7 and mp5k for the same reason, or the crossbow and sniper rifle. There’s just too much overlap in their roles in combat and they would be redundant. I’ve been playing with HL2’s default weapons for almost 20 years so I’m not going to miss them if there are other weapons (beta or not) instead.
Looks pretty outstanding! I love the green lighting with the combine architecture, it reminded me of the concepts for a cancelled HL mod called operation lambda. You should look at some of the combine-related art for that, they might be of interest: Moddb.com
Glad the page is back up even if the mod isn't coming back, some of the concepts for OF2 were insane and I hope they at least get adopted by other modders.
I would love to use the swordfish rifle in an HL game and fight those synths.
Any chance you could detail some of the graphical features you’ve implemented in addition to CSM, perhaps in a dev blog? CC has obviously modified their branch of the source engine quite a bit to maximize fidelity, and I’d be interested to know what your team has planned in that regard
Wouldn’t it just be better not to include it at all? It’s used so sparingly in the original and contributed almost nothing to the experience, and it would probably take an absurd amount of time to implement
Is there any chance of the unused weapons appearing but not being available by normal gameplay means? I'd still like to play around with the original mod's weapons, even if it was through the console

Looks good, I think most (if not all) category 5 weapons could use an overhaul IMO (the older models really aren't living up to the standards of the newer ones). Also, nice HC background there
