Guns can range from 5K to 10k and I'm talking about tricount not polycount. All game engines convert polys to triangles. Technically, what really matters is vertex count, mainly because that's what's being calculated, having a minimum of 30-40 fps, and saving memory. You'll also have to make LOD meshes, which is important, not to mention guns do not have uniform details in terms of tricount. I've seen 6k guns look better then 10k guns.
