I just wanted to ask, if it is intended that the CIS is so much stronger than the Republic. I mean, just for example compare an Acclamator-Cruiser with a Munificient-Frigate. The CIS' ships are jam-full with turrets, not as the ships of the Republic. They have much less, perhaps half the weapons number of an CIS-ship.
To exactly explain you what I mean,
I had 30 Acclamators and attacked a planet of the CIS with a space station lvl. 5, 2 or three Munificient-Frigates and some of these smaller anti-starfghter-ships.
And it only took 5 minutes, and I know I was screwed and I had to retreat if I wanted to rescue some of my ships so the credits weren't totally wasted. I've lost three-quarters of all my ships and not even scratched the station of the enemy.
So...is this normal and intended? And are you sure that the CIS' units were so much better?
Just because I can't imagine that there such a big contrast between the powers of the factions. I thought they would be, more or less, balanced.
