Game Mod needs Concept Artist

*The game is an independent expansion mod for Dragon Age Origins*

This is an unpaid position. You will receive credit in the game. -- All developers involved are working on this project voluntarily as well.

Any portfolio work you have, please include a link/attachment in your email.

We need artwork for any/all of the following:

  • character concepts: character sheets, armor, facial profiles
  • enemies: dragons, 'darkspawn'(humanoid ogres), corrupted animals (spiders, rats, bears, wolves)
  • environments: towns, landscapes, cities, temples
  • scenes: battlegrounds, aftermath, general combat
  • items: weapons (specifically the main characters sword, bow & arrow), magical items (staff, orb, potions)
  • effects: such as lightning, fire, frost/snow

We already have specs for you to go by completely detailed out, including an Art Bible, only thing you need is your creativity and a bit of time. Also open to creative changes as long as it keeps to the game theme, concept and story.

In need of an Audio Engineer

I finally got my other programmer, but now I need an Audio engineer. Working knowledge of FMOD would be extremely helpful, as well as any experience in copyright and usage laws (through formal education or experience). Our game is an expansion of Bioware's Dragon Age: Origins, so the compositions will have to be within that genre.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Lead Designer to compose soundtrack, sound FX and other audio
  • Edit and equalize recorded dialog and integrate into the game
  • Produce custom scores to add to the overall emotional experience of the game
  • Check out and research on usage for possible songs that aren't made by the development team

Qualifications:

  • FMOD experience, or other sound editors
  • Good communication, easy to get a hold of
  • 5 or more hours a week to devote to the project
  • Creativity and collaboration skills

In Need of a C Programmer

Dev team working on an independent expansion mod for Dragon Age: Origins. We need another programmer who is either familiar with the the builder/toolset (or willing to learn it) and has intermediate to advanced knowledge of C and C++ libraries. The game expansion plans to change several core game mechanics and implement fully customized art assets.

There is no pay for this project, however you will get credit in the expansion and be able to use any of us as a reference if you so choose as well as use the game in your portfolio. Currently we have 4 people in the team. Myself (programmer and producer), 2 Designers and an Audio Engineer.
