How to install this fix? Do I download again whole pack here 2.7gb.

I visited this site sourceforge and download some qrad3.exe but dunno what to do with it

On AMD is such mess. I had Q2XP from few years ago still available on my Hard disk. I tried to test this old Q2XP yday and... it starts but textures dont exist, models are like black.

My GPU drivers are from dec 2022 and im scared to put newer version coz i read it causes some problems and is bugged as usual.

Yea im givin up. Wont able play this Q2XP till I have AMD GPU. its 99% chance that is GPU the problem.

Edit: Im playing from some time Kingpin with the patch Monkey Harris. HOW is possible its few KB large and is working flawlessly. Yes there is no fancy rework of graphics and textures and effects... but even on AMD is working so great.

It makes available few features like 16:9 resolutions etc. I love it.

I tried another Quake 2. Not the GOG one. I think is original Q2 it made 370mb installation and I Installed 3.20 Patch. So clean Quake2. Then I unpack Q2XP mod inside...

No difference. Same crash happens. So its not the GOG Q2 the reason for it.

Does this version work on AMD GPUs? after gray screen it crashes for me. and cant find even CFG file, where is? it should be in baseq2? I deleted the CFG there and after that is not creating new one. So prolly whatever command I put inside cfg didnt work. I deleted config.cfg and there is no xpconfig.cfg anywhere in Quake2 folders. its not creating xpconfig.cfg because it crashes before enter game?

Btw why closes this console after crash, I cant see what is the error coz console instantly closes.

Im using Quake2 Quad Damage 3.20v GOG. Is it possible to crashes coz this version?

1.26.8 is working without any issues!

I did again complete fresh install on Q2 GOG version which should be 3.20 (setup_quake2_quad_damage_2.0.0.3). After that I put q2xp1268f, after that i put 1269beta2 and I tried again this beta version just to be sure. Started new game and afer i reach Comm Center again everything was black on quake2xp 1.26.9 beta2. After that I download this version from Yadi.sk and i put it.

But this, its even worse. Game starts but id logo intro and everything in menu is in artifacts, some green small cubes like my graphics card is ******. But my graphics card is OK, im 99% sure cos i play other games. Sadly i cant take screenshot ingame cos AMD drivers not reacognize as a game and cant see AMD menu to take screenshot. If i use print screen key and paste in paint there is nothing...

OK so everything in menu is in artifacts and when i hit F9 to load my game gives me this errror - I.imgur.com

EDIT: I never tried 1.26.8 full version, maybe i should try it? Or to wait for fix i dont know... I was thinking there is maybe new improved things in beta and late versions thats why i wanted latest.

After Comm Center I start getting graphics artifacts. Radeon RX 460, latest drivers. I tried reistalling the mod and game complete fresh but same issue. 2nd time installed on top of GOG Quake 2 version. Anyone with this problem? 1st level is clean and perfect but once i reach Comm Center i get some black triangles... Feels like mod is bugged or AMD drivers...

BTW not possible to add Vulkan API?

Edit: nvm after i load my saved game and go back to starting level I have same issue and there. Unplayable cos artifacts. How one time is fine and complete clean and sometime after load it bugs...

Maybe is same issue like on Toloz video. Here looks different and is alot worse, can be if he uses Nvidia to looks different but to has same roots idk.

When we will get Vulkan QuakeIIXP? On AMD video cards performance in old OpenGL games is terrible.
