because

1. Nobody's going to finish it, the mod is too obscure and the amount of times someone has finished someone else's mod is in the single digits

2. I really don't trust anyone else to finish the project because it's probably going to be some kid doing it or they will take it in a questionable direction if it wasn't already going in one

3. Again I don't want to release my assets I'm not proud of how they turned out and I don't really want to see people use my assets in the state they are in

I don't know about that first point, the screenshots only look good they didn't actually play good like I said. Most of those rooms were made for title screen backgrounds and stayed only rooms, you have no clue how underdeveloped these maps were believe me

Mostly AI but some of them like barney are hybrids because while most of the AI models retain the look of the PS2 models, Barney in particular has a really ****** up looking head so I stuck on the ps2 head

Didn't make the hassault model, it's from Sven but I did edit it's animations a bit to account for the M249. Also I did take inspiration greatly from echoes with using the PS2/Ambient impact styled models but at the same time I did plan on using these models from the start because they are my preferred models, I'm biased towards them because that was the way I first played half life as well

No, I originally was going to but overtime I started to dislike the direction of the mod, Extended just has way too much in it and most of it I wouldn't personally use. Stuff like the tons of variations cause issues with the set of models I'm using and generally just has too much for me to have to fiddle with if I want to tune it all to my liking. Right now I'm just using spirit 1.8 but I do intend to adopt ideas from HLE such as the rocket grunts but outside of that I'm not using any HLE assets

2. There is some Decay stuff such as scientists that have Dr. Keller's style of clothing, there isn't too much for decay as of now but that can change

for now yes, I've brought up the idea of the stukabat but I also don't want to overload the amount of stuff even though this takes everything from the half life 1 anthology and more and sticks it together

also in terms of it being worked on by the HLE team yes it is cancelled, we probably won't work on it after this but the original modeler plans to finish it I believe. From what I remember as well they were more playstation 2 styled models rather than HD

it will be standalone, just like any mod, in terms of improvements I don't know if this counts but we've given new variations to barneys and otis, for example there is an HEV Barney variation as well as the normal one, essentially all guards can carry glocks, pythons, and deagles regardless if they are normal, otis, or HEV. with grunts we readded the hassault as a variation for grunts as well as an actual proper sniper opposed to the weird brush built ones in the original game, a rocket grunt, and a m249 grunt as well as all op4 grunt variations as enemies

holy **** thanks!, it's really cool that all this stuff we've been doing has gotten a lot of feedback from people and a lot of notable people at that. Glad anything we use from other people hasn't been associated with something from this that isn't downright ****** so far

most pre release maps are just earlier versions of final ones, we may take design ideas from them but not outright use them and no uplink won't appear
