Wow, this has come a crazy long way since I last saw it.

As a sidenote, they do this quite a few times a year with different games, not to mention GoG is actually pretty awesome and DRM free. Even if you're not sold on Duke Nukem 3d for free, GoG is a nice site to be signed up to.

For the record, I did this yesterday and the code activated on Steam and it's now sitting in my library. THQ are really working hard to get their name back out there recently.

The social side of this site is a little slow but on the plus side it's easy to keep up with everything without being logged in 24/7. I quite like it as there's a mix of developers and gamers posting, and the community aspects are shared between Desura, IndieDB and ModDB so it can be a good way to find and follow interesting new games. I must admit, it feels a little too quiet around here sometimes, but it's preferable to a ton of spam posts.

Same, it doesn't feel like too long ago there was some early footage on Reddit with the devs saying "sorry it doesn't look great yet but we're working hard on it". It did actually look pretty good already though.

As for the Warhammer games, I'm pretty confident the actual gameplay will be great but pleasing the Warhammer fans will be difficult.

Baww, it went on sale here just after I'd already bought it on indie game stand. I guess I needed to sign up there anyway, plus I got smashbox. Congrats on reaching beta!

I used to write when I was still in school, and I was sort of similar. I was good at description but I really didn't like doing dialogue between two characters. It just never felt natural, I was just trying to find as many ways of keeping "he said", "caroline said" looking slightly different if you know what I mean.

That makes sense. I'd imagine it to be a giant space squid though, it's hard to listen to the track without thinking of flashing lasers and chaos. Perhaps a regular giant squid with some serious energy reserves. It'd be intense one way or another.

These are pretty good, I picked them up both for my game soundtrack music collection but also because if I ever do make a game a lot of these sound really usable. I threw a little money your way, be to be honest I didn't do my due diligence research so I hope you are in fact the one who created these. If possible, I'd like to know more about this giant squid fight :P

Assuming the CSS isn't an important part of this blog, then I actually quite liked it. Obviously I can't say much about the overall plot from a page but your writing style seems generally smooth and unforced, which I've always found hard to do.

Are you using the free version of Unity or the paid one? The free one seemed pretty good but I was just nosing around a bit to see how it worked, I'm not sure how important the paid stuff is for an actual full game.

That's a lot of hours, have you been going for 100%?

Oooh, that's actually even more interesting than I was expecting. That could make for some awesome "i knew it!" moments.

So does the entire story generate when you start up or does it try and factor in things you have/haven't done as you play? Also I look forward to future blogs.

I think I actually posted on the blog of someone else in your company earlier. Can you give a bit more info on how it's random but with a storyline still? I guess I'm asking how exactly the story is going to change randomnly without losing too much quality? I've seen quite a lot of procedural horror games on here but this is the first one that seems to have any real storyline, aside form simply "you are being haunted".

Sounds interesting, what tools are you using out of interest?

Oh wow, this game is getting a lot of good reviews. Deservedly so, but still. This game is another great advert for why I should start using Unity :P
