Got a slight problem: Whenever i set the graphics lower, it doesnt stay on what i set it to. so i cant take shadows off high, which might be the reason why i freeze up occassionally *insert sadface*

That is 100% correct, basalt is a black rock and bauxite is red, there's no doubt it's those two as Gnomoria has only a few rock types in its alpha phase.
