When It comes to real life, I'm brilliant. All I need to do is form a band and I'm done. When it comes to modding, I'm a Source Level Designer. Been in the business since 2005, and was doing some level design for Half-Life 1 before that. I'm pretty passionate when it comes to my work. I founded the mod Seven. I am no longer team leader, as I relinquished that responsibility, but I am still a level designer which is good enough for me.

The armoured synth soldier will be on par with the hunters in HL2:EP2 in that you will fight them in small groups rather than in large squads. Alternatives for the Combine GI, as it were, are in progress.

Oh, and the time lapse is perfectly logical, I assure you. Will update soon!

But the original games were strategy based... they were 2D... but they were freakin' awesome! They weren't cartoony either, that was a nice touch. They were just like regular plastic soldiers. I hate the newer stuff where Sarge is some twat with an enormous chin...

Some lovely, lovely stuff. I suggest you lower your standards for recruitment though.

Mapper:
Excellent knowledge about the Valve Hammer Editor software. Must know how to create realistic environments which both look stunning and horrifying. Must be able to create textures from excisting images with bump maps and specularity maps.

That's asking rather a lot. As a level designer who's been working with Hammer for a good 4 years, I've only just started making custom textures, and these amount to simple signs and posters.

But I must say that your level design skills are... spectacular. Possibly the best work I've ever seen. Maybe you could tell us how you did it eh? *hint hint* :D

I'm having no luck. I open consoleserver.exe but it just has that little black screen. I dunno what to do with it. It's telling me I need serversettings.ini. What do I do?

Another thing, can this be played over LAN?

place env_cubemaps throughout your maps (check out a tutorial or something for their placement if you don't already know) and then go into console and run buildcubemaps. That should fix the zombies' blue shiny heads. Not bad work so far :)

Yeh I do find it disappointing that Valve didn't use Source to its fullest potential, but Bushman is right that HL2 was designed to be accessible to low end machines. Maybe the Black Mesa team should work on renovating HL2 next? :P

Absolutely fantastic. I love how you take a simple image of, say, a catwalk and add things that other people wouldn't even think of. Amazing work.

I remember this bit, kept dying from the tank. I don't think the plane was a good choice though, because although it looks nice I don't think it would be flying that low to drop bombs (assuming that's what it's doing) or for any other reason.
