I swear if you finish this mod I will go out get the supplies and custom build a computer and crysis 2 just for it.

Honestly you can not stop piracy. There is no point in even trying. You can probably reduce it by making great games with tons of content so people will think paying for it is justified but you still wont stop it. The best measure is to just ignore it and make the best product possible and gain as many loyal fans as you can.

Good job with the mod. It just got featured on Kotaku today so expect a lot more downloads soon.

No its not a stupid reason. Mods are one of the top reasons why pc gaming is great. It keeps the game fresh way after it has been released. I would have gotten real bored of Half Life after I finished it if it had no mod support. You can only play the same maps and modes so much until you get tired of looking and doing the same thing over and over again.

No I said that I hated the later Silent Hill games because they had a ton of fighting compared to 1-3. As in 1-3 had very little combat since going straight into a fight would kill you.

So how combat heavy will this game be? One of the things that made me absolutely hate the later Silent Hill games excluding Shattered Memories is the extreme amount of combat it had compared to 1-3.

Wow I had no clue this community can act so spoiled some times. Its a shame since not only are you taking time out of your life to create this fantastic looking mod you are giving it out for free. That alone for me is a reason to not bother or pester you. Hope those people don't get on your back too hard and keep doing what you do best!

Correction. That's why people do not steal on moddb or they will be called out by the community which is a good thing.

I do not understand why people are freaking out over this. Stuff like this happens a lot in the modding community due to really great mods being made and developers letting use their full potential even if that means a small fee to pay them. CS started as a mod then went commercial and people did not freak out. Same goes with DoD and TFC. But OH NOES DEAR ESTHER IS BEING AN INDIE GAME EVERY ONE RAGE ABOUT HOW WE ARE BEING RIPPED OFF!

This looks amazing for Half-Life!

Well its like other people said they update their own site a lot. So its not like all development has ceased to exist. Also I doubt it will come out any time soon due to the complexity of having to recreate just about every thing from the original Half-Life. Any way I'm just glad that some one is doing something that is not a zombie mod.

I completely forgot about Daikatana. I remember playing the first level of that piece of crap and gave up after having to kill frogs. Sadly John Romero made no one his bitch that day.

God I wish these trolls would shut up. They should learn that its better if a group of modders or developers take as much time as they need on their game to make it great then to rush it out the door and make it a huge disappointment. A huge example of this happening would be Alone in the Dark that game was rushed too death and had tons of potential.

How is pwnage a feature in a mod?

The Black Mesa thing may not be original but at least your maps for it look good. Cant really say that about most mods that just take areas from the single player and add very little changes to them while keeping all the same weapons and adding no new content. The daughter idea sounds really interesting so I hope this mod is completed so I can try it out. Good luck its great to know people actually do try with Half Life mods.

Tracking. This seems like an excellent idea. Its good to know that some one is trying something original in the gaming industry especially with such a great concept. Hopefully this wont be one of those great ideas that ends up being canceled due to it being way to hard to make.

That robot reminds me of the giant robots you have to fight in Earth Defense Force which is a good thing.

So you made this map but at the same time you do not know who made it? That makes tons of sense.

The main issue I had with Fallout 3 is that it had very little character development besides stats. I loved that in Fallout 1 and 2 your character could be any personality you wanted them to be and it would cause you to have a reputation based on your actions. An example would be if you killed a child then people in other towns would know of that action and hate you for what you did. In Fallout 3 the most that would happen is a group of mercenaries or bounty hunters would go after you depending on if you're evil or deactivated the bomb in Megaton.. Being good or evil had no real outcome besides certain party members joining you but the towns people would still act the same.

I honestly cant remember its just when ever I go through the hl and hl 2 mods list there are all these really awesome sounding mods that just die.I really hope nothing happens in the future to make this mod not come out because so far it looks really awesome just for the fact that its not just another genaric zombie mod like the other 5000 or so ones on the internet.

Please do not let this mod die like all the other cool hl mods that died before release.I love the work you have done with it so far keep up the good work.

I love the mix of robotron and geomitry wars keep up the good work.Also the theme song while playing is awesome.

I hope to god this is not one of those really awesome looking mods that end up not being made like a lot of the half life mods out there.
