Sweet mod, dude!

A bit of critique if you want some. For this mod or future projects.
Lower your normal map strength. I get it pops, but it can quickly make the image way too noisy.
It would look better if you lowered the contrast on a lot of your textures as well. Too much contrast can also be really noisy. Visual consistency is much more important than sharpness.

Be careful with some of the tiling. Some of the texture's scale can be off and your character starts to feel kind of small.

Lastly, I'd recommend finding some photo reference of a similar material in similar lighting in real life and working off of that, rather than necessarily just AB-ing it with Vanilla and other mods. Reality is the best reference for realism.

I'd also advise looking at textures in big budget games rather than texture mods. There is usually a lot of artistic revisions there which modders don't have access too. Games like Uncharted 4 and Dishonored 2 are great examples of visually balanced textures in terms of detail and contrast.

I admire that you are actually redoing the textures and not just upping sharpening.

Problem solved. Turned out it was because Steam doesn't come with the bin64 folder. Downloaded one online and fixed it up.

It goes away when you set Texture quality to Medium. Though then the vanilla textures look blurry. Can't win, haha. I'll probably just stick to vanilla Crysis.

Do you use the Steam version of Crysis? I'm getting some messed up textures and black ground around the player. 10 meters away from the player everything looks ok though.

Edit: Also, game runs fine without the mod. I have a GTX1070 3770k and 16gb ram.

What's your plan for gas masks other than them not being animated?
I think Misery and BF1 have some fairly non intrusive overlays. The sound is immersive too.

Pretty sure this addon extracts as a gamedata folder. Either way you can just make a new folder and call it "gamedata" and chuck files in that.

Love the mod. It's the most beautiful rendition of stalker yet!

Super small issue though I think you are missing a flare texture file in the FX texture folder. In bright daylight one of the flares is a huge square.
It's subtle though once you notice it it's hard not to see it.

Awesome mod.
Is there anything in the works for the ground textures and grass density.
There is a bit desired after playing Call of Pripyat with Absolute Nature 4.
I understand that it's not a quick, easy fix as there is custom spawns already in both mods and also that Absolute Nature 4 is only for Zaton, Jupiter and Pripyat.
I thought it would be worth bringing up none the less.
The density an resolution in that mod is great and the gameplay and variety in CoC is amazing. It would be the best of both worlds.

Yeah, sticker-scopes look like ****.

Gunslinger is incorporating 3D scopes well.
They are hi-poly, have depth of field around the edge and even have a varied distance between the outside of the scope and through the scope glass itself.
Rather than faking it by zooming the whole screen and putting a scope model in front of it.

Hopefully we see that mod as an addon in 2018-2019.

Yeah, stalker with the original xray doesn't seem to have much bloom tweaking. I'd be interested to see if they have managed to make any tweaks in 1.2 regarding it

"r2_ls_bloom_fast off" maybe? I forget if it's fast bloom which makes lurk bloomy. Dump that in the console(tild) and see if it works. Or mess with this: "r2_ls_bloom_threshold [0.000 - 1.000]"
