The game engine is quite nice, and I enjoyed the first two days of development with it. And, I am even considering using it as a side engine with Unity for testing out ideas and making smaller games.
**Quick Review of the Pros and Cons:**
Pros:
[+] Free to use, no premium, royalty-free.
[+] Cross-platform
- Supports macOS, Windows, Linux (development).
- Deploys to: iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, HTML5.
[+] Uses Lua a simple programming language to learn and pick up quickly.
[+] Incredibly fast deployment and real-time testing.
[+] Compact build file sizes.
[+] Great for team projects (easy to share).
- Simplified version control
- Uses git
[+] Well written documentation.
Cons:
[-] UI feels unintuitive. Especially in editing input fields, you would expect the engine would work a certain way, but it doesn't, making it slightly difficult to modify fields.
[-] Few hands-on projects or tutorials with the full explanation of the program and use cases. There should be plenty more in my opinion.
