All right, I'll reveal a possible solution.
All of the error messages lead to one issue - not enough memory for the entire mod to run. A way to fix this is to increase the memory the game can use.
So:
- create a shortcut of the executable (hl.exe)
- enter the properties, then add "-heapsize [number]" after "hl.exe -shortcut"
I've set my -heapsize to 5000000, but I've seen different options, like 200000. I'll be honest, I didn't check if it actually works, but the game still launched, so, yeah.
On Steam, just go into properties and add -heapsize in "add launch options". I hope this helps somehow!

Wonderful mod, seriously enhances the experience. I had no idea how much I wanted this until now! You have Random Madness to thank for making a demonstration of this mod, that's how I learned about it! Youtube.com
About all the crashes and whatnot - they're nothing new, there are threads from 2005 that ask for help with this stuff. Just look it up - as it is now, quick save often.
