I've been having so much with Edain Mod 4.4.1 lately, especially with the Ursidey and Max's french patch. It's so well done that it's definitely official quality and I feel that the french text patch and voice one should be in the official Edain Mod release as well. Out of the English, german, and french doublage of the original game I think the french is the best one ;-)

Greetings, dear mmh55, there is Something I can't bring myself to understand: With such a popular title, how comes there is no translation of french, spanish, german or italian? MMH V is getting old, but with valuable people like you it has been brought new meanings, and we finally have a ultimate MMH experience... It's such a pity that people are not aware of MMH5.5, or I'm missing Something? Lots of french sites going down nowadays, probably they do hold the translation of the older version? I do know that there is a chinese translation for the newest RC9a, but it is not noted here either.

I found another bug concerning King Dain from Erebor: Once multiple chariots have been summoned and multiple heroes mounted the chariots, there is no way to descent Dain from the chariot again anymore. And when the chariot died Dain died with it.

Thranduil is the only one that doesn't have "Gift of Lorien" shown when you mouse over his icon after getting the spell from Galadriel.

Un grand merci pour les développeurs de ce pack !! Génial et c'est indispensable pour Edain Mod ! Quelque voix femelle comme Tauriel et Arwen la volume est un peu bas, si ça sera réglé dans la version prochaine.

I have a question regarding the update of Edain mod: Is there any possiblility to update Edain Mod by simply copy and paste the new files over the old one manually without the use of the launcher? Or what is the launcher doing regarding some core files' modification like say asset.dat in BFME2 folder? Thx in advance !

Yeah, but that won't save me for the VPN launcher update, which is the real problem here. I'm using french version here, so before installing Edain I already have my own backup in case of language issues. So getting the original one is not a problem, it's the launcher update that I'm afriad of.

Thanks very much for your answer. So that's the real problem, asset.dat in BFME2 folder. I'm living in China and I can only access the launcher update by means of VPN. And most of the time I have to depend on luck to pray that the connection doesn't break in the middle of a update. It happened before and I manually extracted and pasted some language files and this asset.dat in the Rotwk folder, and I believe that's where it all went wrong.
Now, for the solving of the problem, I do have backup of all files before Edain Mod for both BFME2 and Rotwk. But I believe that the asset.dat has been changed. Instead of going all over again, can I just have someone's correct asset.dat file from BFME2 folder?

Some very strange graphical glitch here with Windows 10: missing textures, black lines and shadows over the screen, missing models of Narin and monted Dain etc, it used to be all fine with windows 7. I'm with an ATI Radeon HD graphic card, and I've already uninstalled Edain mod and installed plus updated to the lasted 4.4, but the problems persist. Is this a known problem already? BTW are there anything to do with game.dat file?

Il faut changer le nom de fichier à frenchpatch201.big si vous avez la version française du jeu.

Remind yourself that if you have a french version game you should rename the file to frenchpatch201.big and put it in your lang folder.

Thank you very much, sir, I've tried the installer before and it mentioned my installation is neither English nor germen, and that hold me off for a while. Now with this I'll sure give Edain Mod a try, can't wait really !

I have been paying attention to this mod for a long time and the reason I can't really put myself into it is for sure because of the language it provide. I am neither an English nor a german, and I vote for an open translation for all languages. I want to know how many of the content has new voice recorded, perhaps I can contribute for the french language version.

for all of you who are concerned, Copy the file GameCameraModule.usl from CEP to ParaWorld\Data\Base\Scripts\Game\controller\ and overwrite the original file, you'll have your updated Zoom control where you'll be able to zoom out much further while holding down Ctrl key ;-)

By the way, something to report: Be really careful about the Mappack, because you can't uninstall it. And the maps in it are in english and german. I personally regret a lot for not backing up my original french version... In CEP the mission description is not translated as well ...

Hi there Corncobman, thx for the great job!! I'm here to ask for a favor. I've read through the readme file and all these posts but didn't find the info that I wanted. I'm using a french version of SS and I want to keep the sound pure in only the french language. The Sound folder however, contains fixes not related to language as well, so deleting the whole folder is not a clever option. So my question is, is there a list to find out which of those lines are in English so that I could delete them, but keep all the other sound fixes intact, as the idle sound for sister's chainsaw? Thanks in advance !!

Now, could it be this simple? All that I have done is open up the map file Christmas.xs and fine this line: "rmAddObjectDefItem(islandSilverID, "TreeChristmas2", 1, 0.0);" Just delete the number 2 after TreeChristmas and voilà, you got a tree in the middle!

Hi Martini, while waiting for your response I did a little bit of research, and solved partially my question:

1. The reason why aoe3x and aoe3y don't have the correct items are because their corresponding models have been left out of their artX.bar file, and the producer just used generic trees instead of Xmas tree, normal deear instead of reindeer etc.

2. The way to bring it back is to edit both protox.xml and protoy.xml, to set their models back to what it originally intended. The Items to be changed including GiftCoin, GiftFood, GiftWood, Reindeer and TreeChristmas.

3. After that we have to find the original models for the corresponding items. You could find them in Martini's mod, under art\buildings, terrain and units.

4. The better way to do it, like the official producer did for Plymouth, another festive custom map, is to change all the path for the model to art\patch\Christmas, for exemple, instead of following the correct path set by proto.xml, from the original aoe3.

What has left to be done though, is that when the original map is loaded in aoe3, there is a Xmas tree right in the middle of the map, with all the gifts box under it. When loading this map from aoe3y however, there will be no tree in the middle, only a big pile of gift boxes. I think it's a change in the location coordinates order, just like the producer did for the minimap colour red, green and blue order between aoe3 and aoe3x and y. I'll keep looking into it.

Hi Martini, great work up there, I've some specific questions regarding the Winter Wonderland Custom Map. What is the problem that the original map doesn't work with aoe3y? Are there any manipulation that I can do to get the original map to work with aoe3y?
