Not really interested in new animations, I like the stock game ones just fine.

If he released a newer version of his Absolute HD mod that didn't have any changes other than graphics (and maybe the head-lamp) I'd try it out.
No, no iron sights in this version. Not a fan of the current implementation. By "problem" I meant that there are multiple comments in the latest Absolute HD mod reporting crashes and instability. This mod is rock-solid, never had a single crash.
I do however use "Doom 3 Realistic Weapons v10" with this mod for both Doom 3 and RoE. I think I put in the comments of that mod how to install it for both.
Actually, scratch that. I managed to get both versions (for Doom 3 and for Resurrection of Evil) working after installing Absolute HD Mod (though I'm using an earlier version, 1.0) by copy/pasting both "Weapon_fix_D3_by_Killatomate.pk4" and "Weapon_fix_RoE_by_Killatomate.pk4" into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Doom 3\ AND into every single subfolder as well. I don't know which ones are making them work, but they're working with Absolute HD 1.0.
Yeah same, would love a way to turn that off.
Really not a fan of that always-on pistol flashlight. Otherwise this is just perfect, would love a version without that though.
It runs.
1. install games to normal steam directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Doom 3\
2. run each game at least once to make sure they're registered/configured ok
3. run "1qhc-d3roehdm_od1setup.exe" (Absolute HD mod) and direct it to install to the same folder as the main Doom 3 game (path shown above)
(I don't like the newer version of Absolute HD here on mod.db, Google that .exe filename and you should find a link)
4. run the updates "hdmod1_upd2_setup.1.exe" and direct it to install to the same location as step 3
5. go to steam>doom 3>properties>set launch options and paste "+set fs_game_base d3hdmmtr +set fs_game d3hdm" (without quotes)
Doom 3 HD should now work.
6. go to steam>doom 3: resurrection of evil>properties>set launch options and paste "+set fs_game_base d3hdmmtr +set fs_game d3xp" (without quotes)
move all files from "d3xphdm" to "d3xp" folders in Doom 3 directory
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil HD should now work.
7. to install the "Doom3 Realistic Weapons Mod v10 to both Doom 3 and RoE:
Open folder "Doom3_Realistic_Weapons_Mod_v10"
-copy "Weapon_fix_D3.pk4" to the "Doom3\base" folder
-copy "Target_Range.pk4" to the "Doom3\base" folder
-copy "Weapon_fix_RoE.pk4" to the "Doom3\d3xp" folder ("Resurrection of Evil" addon)
I've had two crashes while playing Misery 2.1.1 with The Armed Zone add-on that required manual fixes:
and
Have these been addressed in the upcoming version?
Excited for 2.2.
Love your mod, by the way.
I'm wondering if there's an easy way to fix a visibility issue on the "AEK 971 Kobra" "Cobra sight" because it seems to only be visible/red when light is hitting it from the rear. Otherwise it is black. So it's essentially useless in darkness or shadowy areas. I can post screenshots if you want to see what I mean, but I'm wondering how hard it would be to change it myself. Never edited weapons before :x
Really excited for this mod, going to hold off on playing CS until it comes out.
Thank you so much for the amazing textures!
Really love to see modders still making great content for both KOTORs
Wow, I can't believe I've never seen this before. One of my favorite games and a mod like this...whew.
What's the name of that music track? It doesn't seem to be in the GOTY soundtrack...
I've never played Clear Sky before but when this mod comes out I think I will!
interesting. i like this sort of thing but i think i'll wait for the final version.
Any idea on when the new Misery will be released?
Mine seems to work fine there.
Glad to see you're back, and I hope you changed your passwords :)
I have the old version of this mod (that doesn't affect weapons or animations), and I'm going to hang onto it. I have other weapon mods I use, and I think he should have found a way to make them separate. It's a great mod though.
Thank you so much for this, so far it works perfectly!
look forward to this in 16:10! Watched. :)
