I didn't mean in a way that you'd rip off the asset altogether, but in a way whether it would serve as an inspiration. Sorry if I ask too many questions, but regardless I'm looking forward to playing this!

That's nice! :o

The recently released ESO Elsweyr contained a statue of Namira. Will you use it as in the mode as a base for Namira's statue? Just asking. :)

Let me rephrase it.

There is a certain attitude problem among C&C players, especially with those, whose experience around mods exhaust at MO. I saw a lot of times players accusing other mods that "it was ripped from MO", little do they bother to check that the asset was actually public. It would be a gesture, if the team would actually stand up against this phenomenon, but instead they give the horse under them when Speeder pick up some random asset for the purpose of having it. It's free of course, but really... just have a look at MO. It's huge in the bad sense. It has way too much content, most of it is unpolished and don't have too much purpose other than being there. One can be proud of having 12 factions with quadrillion of units, from which a handful is actually viable, the rest of them is either niche, good only in PvE or good for one or two specific situations. Let's just not talk about the map fetish... 500+ maps. Many of them got into the roster without proper playtests. Like he added this sh!t into the mod, for what? Anyone who played YR and MO know that Mastermind + Grinder was mostly used in PvE for defense, it isn't a great strategy in PvP unless your opponents want to swarm you.

And again: while it is indeed public, some modders will actually refrain from using it. Speeder knows this well. He admitted this himself a few times. At MO's rate other sane mods would actually be near the end of the project, but MO be like "hey, let's break the game further", and yes, MO should be in its closing phase already, but the mod just keeps gobbling up assets to postpone the inevitable. One can delude himself to be the "savior of the C&C modding community", but let's get the fact straight: not many mods can survive under MO's shadow. They can start their mod, only to find out that they don't have have too much chance of competition (the game is rigged from the beginning?) and that they are being scavenged by it. Yes, that's how Foehn was born, on the rhetorical corpse of another mod. Speeder said it himself that people should surrender their assets to him instead of starting their own mods. There you have it, a more detailed description.

At this point it really feels like, what others have been saying for a while now, that the mod is actually hoarding all assets for the sake of having them instead of serving an actual purpose, preventing others from having them, who might have better use of such. I let you decide whether it is good or not, but as I see it's another really niche unit, which will not particularly see much gameplay (due to reasons I presume are obvious). But hey, at least the number of those niche units can be increased.

How to complete Pallos' Nightmare quest? I found the dead body and talked to Pallos, but I have no clue how to proceed.

I have the same issue with the nf_setup_v_1.exe: it says I don't have enough disk space, despite I have like 200 gigs free space.

It might be an odd question, but will we be able to run this mod on the classic Skyrim?

I have some questions regarding this mod, mostly regarding the Daedric Prince Namira. To this day she is still the most obscured Daedric Prince and the lore about her is pretty small, is she going to be a major character in the mod? And... how complete is the Scuttling Void? When can we see images of it?

Hello!
I'm planning to play Gothic 2 NotR with this mod and I'm asking that what kind of difficulty changes I can expect?

I played a much earlier version, which included parts of the Uriziel questline. Xardas would send you on a quest to recharge Uriziel, using the Claw of Beliar and eliminating a beast at the Circle of the Sun. I guess Vic7im is reworking that mission, but if not, then forget these words I spoke. :D

"When the time has come we shall let you know what our Council has decided" - Pyrokar

Probably when it is done. Vic7im is making this mod in his free time and he tries to finish this as fast as he can do, but you see real life and programming hiccups can slow down the progress and he doesn't want to release a half-finished mod with lots of issues. The betas are well playable. They have their issues, but in the future they will be fixed if we play the betas and give feedbacks about them.

But even if it grips your throat it still takes much more effort for the wolf to kill you, because when the wolf does that, it basically strangles you, which is a rather slow procedure. :D Just saying. :P

The thing is that many people found Gothic 2 NotR already too hard. And in Gothic games the beginning was always tedious. Personally I have only one problem with this too high difficulty: it slows down the progress gradually and always saving and loading really slows down the game to the degree that it's no longer fun, but tedious. Being realistic is nice, but it's still a game and too unforgiving games will only result in cheating and/or people abandoning the game. Furthermore it's not realistic that you die of 2 wolf bites. The problem is that there is no option for the difficulty of the game, because then everyone could be happy.

I guess it depends on the nature of the quests. Certain quests just need a little programming, because all assets are normally available, but creating a whole new storyline takes more effort.

So the magic will work like this way:
At Circle 1, Circle 1 spells receive bonus damage. At Circle 2, Circle 1 spells will be cheaper to cast, but will no longer receive bonus damage, however Circle 2 spells benefit from bonus damage.
This is how I comprehended it. Not sure that it is correct.

If he doesn't carry essential items then his body will disappear. Also there is a rare glitch in Gothic 2, which makes Gorn die at the end of chapter 3. I discovered this accidentaly when I cleared the mine shaft below the Circle of the Sun after the end of the ceremony. I found Gorn's corpse at the end of the shaft. I don't know if that's the case, but it occured to me once, so I have a feeling that the same or something similar has happened.
