The sarranid troops never seem to yield veteran recruits. Any fixes?

The Sarranid troops do not seem to ever yield veteran recruits at whatever stage they are disbanded. Does anyone else have this problem?

Can the latest version run und WSE 2.0? 3.15 has the old issue with the Game version beeing inactivatable which would mean that i have no way to play this game. I could not find a fix to that despite looking for hours now.
