Ikr I should finish it

I think in my last save I interacted with the boards and changed levels. That probably caused the issue of not being able to pick them up last time. I've tried again without changing levels and it worked.

I've been stuck in the part where you have to pry open the boards in the watchtower. I watched some playthroughs on this map and saw that the players could pick up the pincers at the top of the tower. But for me, this wasn't possible. They're only an object and I cannot pick them up as a tool. Is there something I didn't install or are the pincers randomly generated and need to find them somewhere else?
