My experience after playing 2.0a for a few hours:

Bad:
- (!!!) Crashes are still common, even with hotfix.
- (!!) Generals and Agents don't gain any experience. Whole system is disabled or broken it seems.
- (!!) Diplomacy doesn't exist; almost every faction that you will encounter will declare war on you, even if you have good relations with them or non aggression pacts. So it's impossible to play the mod in a peaceful (for a Total War game) way. It feels like Attila TW WRE on Legendary. Let me expand those mines and farms a bit! ;)
- (!) Army stances like Forced March and Raiding are partially broken. Forced March is too weak and has wrong name.
- (!) Optimization is off during battles and the game suffers from high vRAM usage even on lower settings.
- Lot's of missing text and empty descriptions.
- Balance is a bit off; some buildings are useless, but others are too strong, Chariots are OP, you can steamroll almost anything with them, Egyptian Archers are OP too. Most regular infantry units sucks.
- Music during battles is too loud. You have to decrease it to 50% to have vanilla Rome 2 sound experience.
- Settlement maps are off. For example, some African settlements are basically European Barbarian settlements from vanilla game.
- Tribesmen have wrong animations.
- Sanitation covers only the city, not the whole region, so you need to spam it in every settlement, which is weird and unbalanced.
- Only 2 factions are playable (Egyptian Empire and Hittite Empire) but even these 2 are not fleshed out.

Good:
- Most models, textures and units are well made. Good job. Who knows, maybe these models will even beat TW: Pharaoh models?
- Unit cards are also well made. You can feel Bronze Age like atmosphere. They truly feel like they were created by a professional studio for a commercial game. UI reskin is also good.
- Map is well made.

TLDR:. Currently the mod is very good for custom battles, but the campaign needs a lot of work.
Thank you guys for all the work you have done for this mod.
And let's remember that it's a free mod made by passionate modders in their free time.

Not true. It works. Use Total War Mod Manager and follow all instructions.

I have some major bugs though; no music during land battles and AI seems kind of...stupid during land battles?(even more than in unmodded vanilla).

AI also always accepts alliances when playing as the Uprising.

I have the same issue. Triedplaying as Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Pugachev’s Uprising and in both playthroughs I don't have any music during land battles.

Guys you have 1366x768 too? I managed to fix it.

After few trial and error attempts I discovered that changing Orientation = "CENTRE" to Orientation = "UPPER_RIGHT" in name ="mainmenu_panel" makes singleplayer/multiplayer buttons visible so I can start a new game and it fixes most UI problems in the game as well. (Sadly just moving these buttons along X and Y axis didn't work at all for some reason). Interface not always fits perfectly, but most important buttons work and mod is playable, so I don't mind.

That file is located in Victoria Universalis v0.76/Interface/temp_frontend

That solution also works for VU 0.76

Niestety mod się bazowo nie odpala i trzeba zmienić nazwę głównego folderu moda z "potop nowy" na "potop". Po takiej zmianie śmiga.

Być może warto wrzucić moda na główną stronę ModB jako
"Potop 1.6 untested Alpha version (only PL version for now)"?

W ten sposób ludzie pomogą Ci przetestować moda, a przy tym będzie wiadomo, że to jest wciąż rozwojowa Alpha do testów, a nie pełnoprawne 1.6.

I thought that 0.65 was the end, like 0.4.6.3 for HPM back in 2020.
But you suprised me with 0.7.

Your mod is great in many ways, but I espiecially like it for very good performance (compared to GFM and other mods) and national ideas system.

Guys please use beta patch 2.3 that fixes many random CTDs (Including Zaporozhian Host crash) and saving errors (some minor nations still don't work, but most do. Save and reload on 1 turn to check if that nation works).

Also, NO VDM version is a lot more stable than VDM version.

Developer is busy now, so I decided to add link to this essential patch to help you.
Patch is not perfect either, but it's improvement anyway.

SIMPLE installation instructions:
1. Download improved 2.2 repack from this link: Drive.google.com and beta patch 2.3: Drive.google.com
2. Install 2.2 and 2.3 by unpacking and adding all required .pack files into Empire Total War/data folder.
3. Copy required script files (like EITHER No VDM or VDM) and EITHER early or late campaign (I recommend early and NO VDM) script files into C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts
4. Download and copy Total War Mod Manager to Empire Total War folder from this site: Sourceforge.net
5. Click on that ModManager.exe and setup it properly by showing it where your game is installed and enable all .pack boxes.
6. Run the game by Empire.exe or through Steam. Keep ModManager open when playing the game. Don't run the game through ModManager big "Launch" box, since it's like to crash.

You should add that 2.3 patch here too, don't wait a week, especially that it is critical patch due to crashes and freezes in 2.2

Just add additional description like "experimental/untested patch. Use at your own risk" or something. People can bugtest it here too.

Put and unpacks Lucium files in Medieval 2 Mods folder and make sure that it's called Lucium_Total_War and there is data folder inside and then click on Lucium_Launcher.bat file every time you want to play the mod.

You click that Lucium_Launcher.bat in Medieval II Total War\mods\Lucium_Total_War and then you can select which campaign you want to play right now. You need to do that every that before launching this mod, so make a shortcut on your desktop.

Saves are separate, so nothing gets removed and you can play different campaign each day if you want. Eg. you can play European on Monday and American on Tuesday.

Lucium doesn't conflict with other mods as long as you properly install it in Lucium_Total_War folder according to installation instructions.

1. Try to close everything that consumes CPU. MSI Afterburner, other apps.
2. Set high priority for Victoria2.exe in Task Manager.
3. Exclude Victoria 2.exe from your Antivirus. Especially if using Windows Defender.
4. Disable advanced water and trees in game settings.
5. Put the game on SSD.
6. In: \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Victoria II folder, edit settings.txt and change update_time=1.000000 to update_time=100.000000 (you need to do that EVERY time before launching the game). For mods like HPM go to \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Victoria II\HPM\settings.txt
7. Check if your laptop is not overheating, since it will automaticaly lower CPU clocks (and performance) to reduce a chance of damage to components.

Doing this steps will help you a bit. It did for me. Performance is slightly better now. Don't expect miracles though. You need strong CPU with high single core performance and MHZ. Especially for even more demanding mods like GFM.

I also recommend to check Victoria Universalis, VRRP and Crimea Mod. They work faster than HPM.

And I agree with TredRL about optimizing the mod. Victoria Universalis nad Crimea Mod did that really well! I remember old versions of HPM working a lot faster than the current version.

Thank you for the mod, I hope that you will expand it with content (like new alt-history decision or events)in the future.

For me, winning vanilla ACW as CSA in 1861 was pretty easy, but after that, there is not much to do, and you need to fight annoying,endless wars with USA, just as you said: "it has no much to do next until the next war".
