Youre thinking of Sigismund and Sevatar, and it was a headbutt. They were dead even combatants, Sev headbutted him in frustration breaking the lock. And Sigismund laughed about it, Sev said he envied the ease of which Sigismund could laugh and socialise. And i believe it was 103-113 hours. Garvi defeated Lucius the first time with ease.

I love this piece. My only actual criticism is the lack of definition and size of their Traps and musculature of the neck, they look strange without it in proportion, might just be me though. But really like this piece, howd you get the socket nodes in place?

The Emperor also is a giant sun of molten gold that caused the populace of Nostramo ,present at his coming, to go blind if they looked at him. His image permanently flash burned into their retinaes

The models look like someone forgot to thin their paints. That and watching Gabriel leap 18 feet in the air in Cataphractii terminator plate gave me a brain hemorrhage to watch. Whole thing looks like **** show.

Hmmm...Whenever I attempt it with CSMs it simply gives them chainblades and nothing else. Could it simply be a glitch?

Id say Each Great Company is a chapter within its self. Not exactly 1000 each but high enough to be very imposing.

A. While i adore Dan Abnett he has been inconsistent in the past. But most inconsistencies come because Gw has to change everything each ******* edition lol
B. Amit watched his father die and he and his chapter were closest to the event and as such were scarred deeper on all levels. And Amit is said even by Dante to have been the best of them all. Seth is great and probably the most dangerous of the era right up there with Tyberos but Amit was a good friend of Kharn and got the name from HIM.Truthfully the Flesh Tearers are an amazing chapter.
D. See the imperium doesnt want that because they cant control them. Notice how the Inquisition is tightening its grip always trying to reign in astartes Autonomy and killing chapters off that disobey a corrupt group. The Inquisition its self is a myth. its not one uniformed group of supreme power. Its simply groups of people given stupid amounts of power. Some inquisitors are doing what they should. Others simply laud their power over those they think they can. Its pathetic. The Celestial Lions almost died because of an inquisitors temper. Gyazo.com
E. of course but its common fact while not defined that the Chapter is really big.

A. ADBs writing is always consistent in his books and short stories and truly i trust his writing over most. And the current codexes to me kinda ruined tabletop.
B. I Support Amits opinion of him "Roboute Guilliman.
Guilliman the tactician.
Guilliman the warrior.
History will remember the Primarch of the Ultramarines by many titles. To us of the Blood he
will have only one – Guilliman the butcher.
With law and edict, Guilliman ripped the heart from the Legions. Even his own sons were not
spared his treachery. Where Horus had sought to use a hammer blow, Guilliman used a
duellist's blade. In the end, the result was the same.
Brother became cousin. Cousin became exile.
Guilliman's new chapter, his new beginning, was a sundering to all that
had come before.
Stripped of honour and tithe, of history and deed, we were all of us undone.
Bastards of war and victory, we were Angels no more."
C. Glad we agree.
D. its too much limitation. I dont like constraining the Greatest fighting force in the Imperium to only a thousand Warriors. Im of the honest opinion that there are most certainly more than 1000 chapters.
E. Wolf Scouts are very interesting to me as well as Lone Wolves. Seeing as how large the Space Wolves chapter is it can afford losses

Ive generally seen it that Power Armor is unable to be detected by heat sensors due to its encompassing embrace. I honestly say its all three because its a layered armor. Funnily enough their very bone structure is as strong or stronger than plasteel.

A. Its actually stated by the legionaires that the Thin Bloods as theyre called are weaker in physicality. They are no less skillful but they are just not as physically dominating or potent.
B. I tend to favour the Dembski approach to recruitment which is that 13-15 are the best recruiting ages and anything else is really risking geneseed rejection as we see with You know who. These are the prime ages as the biochemical reactions of the prognoids are better accepted with the growing maturity and working alongside the human physiology to turn them into demi-gods. And his numbers make alot of sense for regular chapters its 1-100,000 and with grey knights its 1-1,000,000. I say in my humble opinion it is most sensible and logical reactions of these great time differences and so on. I truthfully dont trust or try to mix the codex with book lore XD. Gw is too inconsistent and has to big a fetish for Guilliman the moron.
C.Of course they are functionally immortal. Space marines live for a really long time and are incredibly hard to kill aiding to this age and skill at any point in warhammer history. A base out of the gates astartes will cut through hundreds of men with relatively no problem.
D. What i mean by that is many of Guillimans bastards hold so tightly to the the thing that they become tactically inflexible causing the likelihood of astartes mortality rates. For example in many books it shows that the way the codex is structured it doesnt allow for unconventional tactics that would easily win instead it is dependent on stagnant tactics that hinder combat capability. While dependable they hinder a bit more than they help.
E.They do employ scouts just in a different system you have Wolf Scouts which are specialized. The Blood Claws are still battling the beast within and as such must master it or die.

Id say its more of pick and choose what makes the most sense to you mostly. And Mark 3 must have been because Cataphracti followed shortly after. Its probably a per say (Variants of Variants) they could have been legion modified or simply improved. But Space Marine power armor is still Post human giant badass power armor and still incredibly protective anyways. I do wish in DOW you could scale units though cause its annoying seeing guardsman as tall as an astartes XD.

Ah yes the Heresy was of course inferior it was patchwork to the max due to the galaxy spanning civil war lol. I try not to look at rulebooks to much as they are again rules for a game. I prefer to look to the novels. I agree with you here though.

A. Helsreach, Night Lords omnibus, The Emperors Gift, The Ultramarines books, Iron Warriors Omnibus.Check if you can find the Deathwatch RPG book; overall, the book states (on page 16) states that the procedure is becoming "increasingly ritualized and misinterpreted" This is from index Astartes "Although the Chapters are careful to select only the most suitable candidates. not all neophytes survive to become initiates. This is due in part to the degeneration of knowledge amongst the individual chapters that makes screening processes less effective than they once were. Nor are operational methods entirely satisfactory in some cases. In many chapters implant surgery is highly ritualized, and is often accompanied by scarring, incantation, periods of prayer, fasting and all sorts of mystical practices which compromise medical efficiency"
B.While tech has obviously advanced and im not disagreeing so much more was lost to the Heresy and granted the Imperium seems to lose priceless STC's left and right which seem to all date back to what era? And if i remember correctly in Prospero Burns hawser and his colleague travel in a grav mobile per say XD
C.And we would never even know since most is not written so we'll leave that alone.
D.Yes the Indoctrination is superior of course it is its had 10000 ******* years XD. I think we are mis communicating im not trying to prove you wrong im just asking what your primary references are because as we both know that GW is very very inconsistent.
D. The Vast Majority of the Night Lords legion does not touch the warp because the look down on mutation and the chaotic powers.
C. What im getting at is yes while the Tactical efficiency has of course improved (This is another thing im not trying to attack you on. my apologies)the physical superiority and purity is where the Legionary shines but again gw is inconsistent.
D. Truthfully it depends on the legion and legionary from a god infused perspective. Some Dont give a rats *** about the gods but that is of course individually based.
E. You cannot create new Primarchs and you cannot create new Gene-Seed all the chapters up to date are derived from existing Geneseed and genetic material. Some as we both know are from traitor legions and others are from other questionable sources.
F. In the case of life span its dependent but if i find the source again ill let you know. I say that a codex chapters frontline marines have shorter life spans because the codex's tactics (depending on how they are interpreted) leave the company tactically inflexible. Which causes more deaths amongst frontline astartes.
G. Id say its fair to say the BA dies just as quickly as the Wolves due to their curse which is very similar. Just because a chapter favors melee doesnt mean their casualities will be higher (which is not what im suggesting your saying) Melee heavy chapters simply adopt tactics to get close while minimizing loss. Even the Flesh tearers (One of my favorite chapters) have adapted tactics to allow them to get close to do what they do best.
H. The Wolves have always suffered the Curse of The Wulfen. Always. They just hid it. In the case of the Wolf Brothers. (As stated in Battle of The Fang) The Wolf Brothers failed due to sabotage and the fact that they were without veteran leadership and were unable to master the Curse.
I. The Lamenters are one of GWs many punching bags like many other chapters XD
I think we've gotten off on the wrong foot and that is my fault.

Truthfully though Warhammer is a take what you think is right system. Lore is always debatable subject because its so inconsistent due to GW's idiotic interference.
