To do so you need to add the paths to Revision to the DeusEx.ini file found in /Deus Ex/System/.

Under the [Core.System] section add:

Paths=..\Revision\Sounds\*.uax
Paths=..\Revision\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Revision\Maps\*.dx
Paths=..\Revision\System\*.u
Paths=..\Revision\NewVision\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Revision\HDTP\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Revision\HDTP\System\*.u
Paths=..\Revision\HDTP\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Revision\HDTP\System\*.u

put them on top of any other paths that are already there.

To be safe, rename the original DeusEx.u file on the system folder to avoid it to be overridden.

That way, the SDK should load the new DeusEx.u file from Revision and any other needed dependencies.

Then just add your changes and recompile :)

A few weeks ago they mentioned that they had no plans to release it at the moment.

If you want to add other mods that do not modify existing files, then simply add them on the folders that you want and include the paths of these folders to the Revision.ini file manually (found on /Deus Ex/System/).

On the other hand, if you wanted to add changes that modify game files (such as DeusEx.u), then you would have to use the official DeusEx SDK tools to extract the sources and include them ;)

It was easier than I thought! (I was expecting a launcher or some config file). And keeping the saves separate is a nice feature too, easier to avoid problems with the changes from these mods.

Thanks for the info and detail! :)

Great mod! Been playing the first level a bit and it looks fantastic! can't wait to play the rest! Congratulations CC!! :)

One quick question, how do you activate Shifter or BioMod alternate gameplay modes?

Even if not "officially supported", it should still work on other versions. The only reason not to work was if they required the steam api, but that would only make sense with a paid mod, and they already stated that it would be free.

The release hour fits with a Steam release. But still they said the mod will be available on their site so there should be no cause for concern for those that don't have the Steam version. Also I'm pretty sure it will be possible to play it on the GoG and CD version, after all the core game files are the same in all versions.

Only a few hours more!! :)

Will an SDK pack be released with the mod?

Maybe it has asked before but I didn't find it... Have you considered adding a "looting" window like the one on the 2027 mod? That way you could select what to take from an enemy instead of taking all automatically.

If not, it could always be a suggestion for Rev 1.1 :)
