Yes - we are still working on things for additional patches/releases. Currently our focus is to add the CoOp/Single Player game modes into the PoE:2 maps - last time I checked we had about 15 maps in testing with these game modes which hopefully will make it in the next build. There are a few new maps being tested which will be new releases also - so stay tuned.

For the music - all of the music is produced by our French developer that goes by the name of "Busy". He uses his own instruments and computer technology to make the music - check our forums in the interaction area under his name and I believe you'll find more information on his music.

The Map Pack by "imtheheadhunter" has been uploaded to Moddb.com. Once everything gets passed the authorization phase and gets mirrored by Moddb.com it will be available via the Moddb.com download tab from within the AIX profile. A news posting will be posted here once that has been completed.

@Iron_Golem - the reason it deviates is it's not meant to be a gun to be fired from the prone position - could you imagine doing that for real with a gun like that? - LOL - couldn't fathom the kick it would have! These guys have always been focused on the single player / CoOp part of the gaming community which EA almost decided to leave out of the game - and the original founder of the Allied Intent team (the original group) pushed them as being a activist for the gaming community and at least got them to add the capability. The people at the Battlefield Single Player community are there for your Single Player / CoOp Needs when it comes to the Battlefield series of games :)

Hathcock - - 22 comments @ Were you surprised with Mod of the Year 2006?

Thanks to those that have taken the time to play our mod (POE:1 & POE:2). Being the Project Leader of the team I can say I'm very proud of the accomplishment that the people on our team have earned. For those that don't have any modding experience in the Battlefield arena you would be surprised how hard it is to manipulate things due to Dice / EA hard coding things and not taking the time to provide useful editing tools. I'm very proud that our mod was considered (and Project Reality and Forgotten Hope) for awards as we represent our community - the Battlefield community. The group has pushed both the Vietnam and BF:2 engines to their limits and have done things to fix things that Dice/EA passed on when it came to bug fixing and improvements and we did provide a full conversion mod to the community to enjoy. Of course not all people will enjoy what we develop as everyone has their own idea on what they like when it comes to gaming. The group works hard to make compromises so that the majority of the community would have something that they enjoyed when playing the mod. We have always been a modern warfare game and when Dice decided to release BF:2 we had to change our story to be different than what was being provided in the original game - as POE:1 and BF:2 are very similar in nature. Personally, I work in a corporate world for my day to day job and understand why Dice and EA made decisions to release their games in a quick fashion - as they are competing against other publishers that are trying to release great games and it comes down to who can keep the public interested with buying their products. Unfortunately these decisions has made it very difficult for the mod groups in the Battlefield community to be competitive. Our mod team consists of modelers, skinners, coders, tool coders, sound engineers, music composers, multimedia specialists and they have touched every aspect of the engine that is possible - so for those ney sayers that believe that one group of modders in the community are better than another group (source vs bf or others) you might want to take some time and stand in their shoes. For POE:2, we released a full conversion that the majority of the content was developed by the team from statics (buildings, grass, trees), models, skins, scripting, coding, sounds, music, and all original levels - which BF:2 levels were not converted and not usable in the original release!

For our fans - of course the award wouldn't have been possible without your votes. Our news posts do get covered in over 10 languages world wide and over 20+ countries and appreciate all of the support that has been shown - and thanks to Moddb..com for promoting all types of games from different game engines! It's all about creating games for the gaming community and having people play what is developed! We also appreciate the support of our sponsors Hypernia & Pocketsoft for taking care of our technology needs so that we can have the ability to develop the mods and future developments. Game On! Congratulations to all teams that were considered for awards this year.

You will be able to zoom in with either rifle and reach out and touch your target very easily. This will be a pick-up kit to limit this deadly weapon on the battlefield.

Thanks,

I had the other round type that is available for the NTW-20 stuck in my mind for some reason when I posted these. It's correct in the news posts and I will see if I can edit these images later on today. Thanks for pointing out the typo.

Gamers,

Just some pre-news before we post our weekly news update later today. We have moved to the next step with our internal alpha build and have given it to our testing team to finally begin testing. They are currently just testing the levels that have been developed for lag & static issues but we have also came to a point in our development that we have "content cutoff". This just means that there will be no more items added to our list for things to be included in our first build released to the public. There is still things that are approved to be developed which you will see over the next few weeks.

The Moddb.com staff apologized for the delay on approving our news. I'm sure w/the holiday season upon us the person responsible for approving our news post was probably just busy and didn't get to it in time. Thanks for everyone's comments and we look forward to posting more great news in 2006. Merry Christmas to everyone - happy holidays to people that celebrate other holidays - and have a safe and enjoyable new year.

Everyone has their own thoughts about things. If you never played our first successful mod from the Battlefield:Vietnam engine I would ask you to give us the benefit of the doubt and take the time to download our mod once we release it for the Battlefield:2 engine. It's easy to pass judgement on something that you haven't played but it's another to give us a try and then post your thoughts. Our story as being a mod team is taking the engine to it's limits and making the game fun over all. The team has very talented developers from many different countries from around the world and we've been around for some time. If you look at BF:2 you will notice that the majority weapons/vehicles ingame were included in our mod before BF:2 was introduced to the public. So thanks for your feedback and feel free to try out mod out if you own a copy of Battlefield:2.

Also, good luck Mega_Bastard with your standalone game Megamen:Arena that you also have listed here at the moddb.com site.

To comment about Britian being in the mod, if you read the new story line - things will progress and other nations will join the mod as we progress with it. The sky is the limit with allowing other countries into the mod as we continue between builds. Keep your eye on us, if you want to have fun with the Battlefield:2 engine then look forward to playing POE:2 :-)

We have 3 varients of the Hind planned for our first build and they will all be designed differently. Hopefully you'll enjoy flying them once we release our mod to the community! If everything goes well I'm sure you'll be happy with them.
