Well, the game supports it by default, thanks to DX9 :] And EA's SDK for BFME2 has all needed to use specular maps. It's just not obvious how to apply it.
There will be a reworked combat system, by the way. Ranged weapon will be look like in TLHotTA, but also melee fights will be improved.
